EASY DELICIOUS KONNYAKU JELLY RECIPE



Easy delicious konnyaku jelly recipe image

3 Tablespoons Yuzu marmalade
1 Tablespoon lemon zest
1 Packet Konnyaku jelly powder

Steps:

  • Heat up the 1 litre of water. Once it comes to the boil, turn down the heat.
  • Add the yuzu marmalade, lemon zest and konnyaku jelly powder. Start stirring immediately
  • Keep stirring for 5 minutes then pour into moulds and let the jelly mixture cool.
  • Once cooled sufficiently, allow it to set in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

1/8 ounce powdered agar-agar
1/2 cup boiling water
7/8 cup whole milk
3 tablespoons condensed milk
sweet red bean paste, to taste

Steps:

  • Combine powdered agar agar and boiling water and stir thoroughly.
  • In a bowl, combine both milks and agar-agar mixture and stir well.
  • Pour into square mold and chill in refrigerator until firm (1-2 hours). Cut into bite size pieces and top with sweet bean paste.

  • If you are using gelatin sheets, cut them into thin ½ inch (1.3 cm) strips. Put gelatin (powder/sheets) in a bowl and pour 3 Tbsp hot water. If you are using gelatin sheets, we’ll need to melt the gelatin with a double boiler (Step 3). Please make sure to use a heat resistant bowl that is larger than the opening of the saucepan.
  • Drain the mandarin oranges into a sieve over a bowl or measuring cup. There should be 200 ml (¾ cup + 4 tsp) of syrup. Save the syrup and transfer the oranges to a plate.
  • In a small saucepan, bring roughly ½ cup of water to simmer and place the bowl of gelatin mixture over the saucepan. The steam will immediately warm up the glass bowl and start dissolving the gelatin.
