SPICY JALAPEñO CHEESEBURGERS



Spicy Jalapeño Cheeseburgers image

This jalapeño cheeseburger recipe is perfect for those who enjoy burgers with a bit of a kick. Steak seasoning and soup mix give the meat rich flavor.

1 to 2 pickled jalapeno peppers (finely chopped), plus extra for topping if desired
1/2 package dried onion soup mix
1 1/2 teaspoons steak seasoning
1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt, or to taste
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 pounds ground beef
6 slices American cheese (or cheese of choice)
6 hamburger buns (toasted)
Optional: condiments like mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard
Optional: toppings of your choice, such as lettuce, tomato, onion

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Mix the jalapenos, soup mix, steak seasoning, salt, and Worcestershire sauce with the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
  • Form the mixture into six 1/2-inch-thick patties. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Place the burgers on the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until the desired level of doneness is achieved. During the last minute of cooking, place 1 slice of cheese on each burger.
  • Once the burgers are cooked through and the cheese is melted, remove from the grill and place on the toasted hamburger buns. Top with additional sliced jalapenos, if desired, and condiments and toppings.
  • Enjoy.

2 lbs ground beef
6 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 cup crumbled blue cheese
2 tablespoons finely minced onions
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
6 slices provolone cheese
6 hamburger buns, split
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
shredded lettuce (for topping)
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine beef, jalopeno peppers, blue cheese, onion, garlic, soysauce, and salt totaste.
  • Mix well, and form into 6 patties.
  • Grill patties on grill and cook 7 minutes on each sideor until done.
  • Place slice of cheese on top of each patty, cover grill, and grill until cheese melts.
  • Combine mayonnaise and ketchup, and spread on bottom of each bun.
  • Top with lettuce, and serve.
