Creamy Italian Chicken Crescent Bake image

The secret to this crazy-good casserole is a two-ingredient sun-dried tomato sauce topper.

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves
2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
8 chicken tenderloins (about 3/4 lb)
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup julienned sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In small bowl, mix Parmesan cheese and basil until well blended. Set aside.
  • Unroll 1 dough sheet; cut into 4 rectangles. Place 1 chicken tenderloin on one long side of each dough rectangle; roll up. Pinch edges and ends to seal. Place seam-side-down in baking dish. Repeat with remaining dough sheet and chicken tenderloins. Sprinkle with Parmesan mixture.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and thermometer inserted in center of chicken reads 165°F.
  • Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, cook whipping cream, tomatoes, salt and pepper flakes over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. Cover to keep warm.
  • Spoon warm sauce over crescent-wrapped chicken. Serve immediately.

These Italian stuffed chicken roll ups are so easy to make and are incredibly delicious. Made with provolone cheese and slices of prosciutto these are sure to please the whole family!

1.5 - 2 lbs. thinly-sliced chicken breasts
3 ounces thinly-sliced deli ham or prosciutto
4 slices or about 3 ounces provolone cheese
2/3 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup minced fresh parsley (or 1-2 tablespoons of dried parsley flakes)
½ cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425F (220C). Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Pour milk into a separate bowl.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of provolone cheese on each chicken breast. Depending on the size of your ham and cheese slices, you may need to trim them or cut them in half so that they are not hanging too far out of the roll-up.
  • Roll up chicken and secure with toothpicks.
  • Dip chicken rolls in milk, then coat with a light coating of the crumb mixture.
  • Place chicken seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  • Lightly spray chicken with cooking spray (this will help it turn golden brown!).
  • Bake, uncovered, for about 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove toothpicks and serve!

1 cup cooked, finely diced chicken ((or use canned chicken))
1 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, NOT diluted
¼ cup milk
1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 count)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a bowl, stir together soup, milk and ½ cup of cheese. Pour into the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine chicken and remaining ½ cup of cheese.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place about 1-2 heaping tablespoons of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each crescent roll. Roll the dough up and place each crescent roll (seam-side down) in the bottom of the dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, until the liquid is bubbly and the tops of the crescent rolls are browned (about 25 minutes). The bottom of the rolls (that are submerged in the sauce) will stay soft - like dumplings -- but will still be cooked through.

8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)
8 thin slices (4 ounces) deli ham
4 slices provolone cheese, halved
2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1/2 cup milk
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Flatten chicken to 1/4-in. thickness. Place a slice of ham and half slice of provolone cheese on each piece of chicken. Roll up from a short side and tuck in ends; secure with a toothpick. , In a shallow bowl, combine crumbs, Romano cheese and parsley. Pour milk into another bowl. Dip chicken rolls in milk, then roll in crumb mixture. , Place roll-ups, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet. Spritz chicken with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, 25 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Remove toothpicks. Freeze option: Wrap unbaked chicken roll-ups individually in plastic wrap; place in a large resealable freezer bag. Freeze up to 2 months. To use, completely thaw in the refrigerator. Preheat oven to 425°. Unwrap roll-ups and place on a greased baking sheet. Spritz with nonstick cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes or until juices run clear.

1 cup shredded cooked chicken
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons prepared ranch salad dressing

1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a small saucepan, combine chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing and wing sauce. Cook and stir over low heat until cheeses are melted, about 5 minutes. This is a delicious cheesy ground beef casserole topped with crescent rolls and then baked. If desired you may double up on the tomato sauce. Also, I usually add/mix the cooked pasta with a few tablespoons of oil and a couple tablespoons of Parmesan cheese before layering in the bottom of the dish.

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1/4-1/3 cup chopped onion
1 -2 tablespoon chopped fresh garlic
2 -3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (optional)

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce (can use two if desired)
1 (25 g) package spaghetti sauce mix
1 cup sour cream
2 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
1 (235 g) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (8 pieces)
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/3-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rigatoni pasta is good, make certain not to overcook the pasta)

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  • Layer the cooked pasta in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • In a fry pan, brown the ground beef, onion and garlic until the beef is no longer pink; drain fat.
  • Add in the 2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese; mix to combine.
  • Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the cooked pasta in the dish.
  • Spread the tomato sauce on top of the ground beef, then sprinkle with the dry spaghetti mix.
  • Spread the sour cream over all, and top with the grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough, and spread over the mozzarella cheese.
  • Drizzle with the melted butter and sprinkle with 1/3 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.

1 cup shredded cooked chicken
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
