Russian Tea is a cozy, delicious citrus-tea mixture, enhanced with warm mulling spices. The mixture itself can be stored for months on the shelf. When ready to serve, simply add hot water and stir.

2 cups dry orange drink mix (i.e. Tang)
1 cup instant tea
2 cups sugar
1.25 ounce package unsweetened package lemonade mix (e.g. unsweetened Kool-Aid mix)
2 heaping teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground cloves

Steps:

Mix all ingredients together. Store in an airtight container.

My recipe for a versatile instant beverage mix flavored with warming spices. May be served as a hot beverage, a cold or hot eggless nog, an eggless Tom & Jerry cocktail, a flavoring for hot coffee or tea, or as a flavoring for homemade ice cream.

1 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons powdered vanilla coffee creamer
2 tablespoons Butter Buds
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Steps:

MEASURE all ingredients into a medium resealable container: 1 cup granulated sugar, 6 tablespoons French vanilla flavored instant coffee creamer, 2 tablespoons Butter Buds, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves; SEAL container; SHAKE well until thoroughly combined.
TO MAKE A SINGLE-SERVING HOT BEVERAGE: Stir 2 level tablespoons beverage mix into a mug with 6 ounces hot water. Add 2 ounces cream. Stir and microwave to reheat if necessary. Top with whipped cream and garnish with a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg. Serve and enjoy.
TO MAKE A SINGLE-SERVING EGG-FREE NOG: Stir 2 level tablespoons beverage mix into a mug with 8 ounces cream or half and half. Stir and microwave to heat, if desired. Serve and enjoy.
TO MAKE A SINGLE-SERVING EGG-FREE TOM & JERRY: Stir 2 level tablespoons beverage mix into a mug with 6 ounces hot water. Add 1 ounce cream. Add 1 fluid ounce brandy and 1/2 fluid ounce rum. Stir and microwave to heat. Serve and enjoy.
TO FLAVOR COFFEE OR TEA: Add desired amount to hot coffee or tea. Stir. Serve and enjoy.
TO FLAVOR HOMEMADE ICE CREAM: Add desired amount to sugarless cream batch for ice cream. Mix thoroughly. Add sugar to desired sweetness. Pour into ice cream maker. Prepare ice cream as usual. Serve and enjoy.

1 jar (21.1 ounces) orange breakfast drink mix
1 jar (6 ounces) sugar-free instant lemon iced tea mix
2/3 cup sweetened lemonade drink mix
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS FOR HOT SPICED TEA:
1 cup boiling water
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS FOR HOT SPICED PUNCH:
2 quarts apple juice or cider
1-1/2 cups cranberry juice
3 cinnamon sticks (3-1/2 inches)

Steps:

In an airtight container, combine the first five ingredients. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. Yield: about 7-1/2 cups total. , To prepare tea: Dissolve about 1 tablespoon tea mix in boiling water; stir well. Yield: 1 serving., To prepare punch: In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the juices, 1/4-1/3 cup tea mix and cinnamon sticks. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Yield: about 12 servings (6 ounces each).

1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened instant tea
3/4 cup vanilla powdered nondairy creamer
1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
OPTIONAL GARNISH:
Whipped cream

Steps:

In a food processor, combine all dry ingredients; cover and process until powdery. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months., To prepare 1 serving: Dissolve 3 tablespoons mix in 3/4 cup of boiling water; stir well. Dollop with whipped cream if desired.

1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup French vanilla flavored powdered non-dairy creamer
2 ½ cups white sugar
1 ½ cups unsweetened instant tea

Steps:

In a large bowl, combine milk powder, non-dairy creamer, vanilla flavored creamer, sugar and instant tea. Stir in ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. In a blender or food processor, blend 1 cup at a time, until mixture is the consistency of fine powder.
