APPLE-CINNAMON OATMEAL
In this apple-cinnamon oatmeal recipe, we use the fruit in two forms, shredded and chopped, to maximize flavor and texture. Enjoy a bowl of this oatmeal and you'll start your day right with whole grains and a serving of fruit.

Steps:
- Shred 2 apples using the large holes of a box grater, leaving the core behind.
- Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add oats and cook, stirring, until lightly toasted, about 2 minutes. Add water and the shredded apples; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer and cook, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, chop the remaining 2 apples.
- After the oats have cooked for 10 minutes, stir in the chopped apples, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon and salt; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the oatmeal is quite thick, 15 to 20 minutes more. Divide the oatmeal among 4 bowls. Top each portion with 2 tablespoons yogurt and 3/4 teaspoon brown sugar.

Steps:
- Combine the oats, water, apples, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium size saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
- As soon as it boils, reduce heat to low and simmer for just a few minutes, until the oats are soft and the apples are tender. Remove from the heat and add brown sugar to taste.
- The sweeter the apples, the less brown sugar you will need. Scoop into serving bowls and top with butter and pecans if desired. Enjoy!

- Mix first 8 ingredients. Place apples in a greased 4-qt. slow cooker. Top with brown sugar mixture, then with oats., Whisk together eggs, water, milk and creamer; pour over oats. Cook, covered, on low until oats are tender, 4-1/2 to 5 hours. If desired, serve with pecans and additional milk.

- In a small sauce pot melt the butter with the diced apples; add the milk, Nielsen-Massey Vanilla and brown sugar. Heat the milk to a simmer and add the oats. Cook the oats approximately five minutes until the oatmeal thickens. Enjoy with a drizzle of honey.
