GARLIC BUTTER BAKED BRIE



Garlic Butter Baked Brie image

This warm baked brie is best served warm and bakes quick. Prep the brie up to a day ahead of time, and then bake just before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 round brie ((8-12oz 227-340g))
2 cloves garlic (, minced)
2 Tablespoons butter (, melted)
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves (, fresh or dried)
fresh cracked black pepper
Serve with crackers (, bread, nuts and/or fruit)

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Score top of the brie about 1/2" deep in criss cross cuts. Place brie in small oven safe baking dish.
  • Combine garlic with melted butter. Pour mixture on top of the brie. Sprinkle thyme leaves and fresh cracked black pepper.
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until brie is melted. Serve warm baked brie with crackers, bread, nuts and/or fruit

8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces butter
8 ounces brie cheese, with rind removed
1 baguette, sliced

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Microwave on HIGH for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir.
  • Microwave on HIGH for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir.
  • Repeat until all ingredients are melted and the texture is smooth.
  • Serve with baguette.

2 tablespoons butter
1 onion (chopped)
2 teaspoons garlic (chopped)
8 ounces brie cheese (trimmed & cut into pieces)
8 ounces cream cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
salt & pepper (to taste)
1 loaf bread (8-inch round)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Saute onion and garlic in butter until golden and set aside.
  • Put brie and cream cheese in microwave until soft. Mix in the onion & garlic and the rest of the ingredients. I pulsed this mixture in the food processor.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Hollow out the middle of the loaf and fill with the mixture. Wrap in foil and bake in oven until bubbly hot approximately 30 minutes.
  • Dust with paprika if desired.
  • Serve hot out of the oven with the cubed bread and crackers.
