Honey Garlic Chicken Legs are a fast and easy dish that's loaded with flavor. Chicken legs are coated in a sweet and savory glaze and baked until tender and juicy. Perfect for a simple dinner!

10-12 bone-in, skin-on chicken legs
Salt and pepper (, to taste)
½ cup honey
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
2½ teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper or grease with cooking spray. Place chicken legs on pan and season with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until combined. Brush half of mixture over chicken.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then remove chicken from oven and brush remaining glaze over chicken. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • If desired, broil chicken legs under high heat for 2-4 minutes to get the skins extra crisp. Serve immediately.

12 chicken legs
1/3 cup of ketchup
1/2 cup of honey
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of mustard
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken on the pan in a single layer.
  • In a medium-size bowl mix the ketchup, honey, soy sauce, mustard, onion powder, and garlic powder to make the sauce.
  • Spoon the sauce evenly over the chicken.
  • Bake for approximately 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn all of the chicken legs over.
  • Turn the oven up to 425 degrees. Return the chicken to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • Serve with rice or potatoes and a vegetable.

2 pounds chicken legs, skin removed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ½ teaspoons ground thyme
1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons raw honey
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Combine chicken legs, olive oil, thyme, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix chicken legs until coated and arrange on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), 45 to 50 minutes.
  • Combine honey, butter, sriracha sauce, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat; cook and stir until butter is melted and sauce is smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour sauce into a large bowl. Transfer chicken from the baking sheet to the bowl using tongs; toss until coated with sauce.

8 chicken drumsticks or 8 chicken thighs (about 2 pounds total)
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
1/4 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 dash ground red pepper

Steps:

  • Arrange chicken pieces in a 15x10x1-inch baking pan making sure pieces do not touch.
  • Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine green onion, honey, garlic powder, and ground red pepper.
  • Brush chicken pieces with honey mixture.
  • Return to oven.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes more or until golden brown and chicken is no longer pink.
  • Makes 4 servings.
