1 boneless fully cooked ham (about 3 pounds)
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Place ham on a greased rack in a shallow roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 50-60 minutes. Combine honey, mustard and sugar; brush about 3 tablespoons over ham. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 140° and ham is heated through. Stir into remaining glaze; heat through and serve with the ham.

2 tablespoons sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package, adding ham during last minute of cooking time. Drain; place in serving bowl.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine whipping cream and mustard; blend well. Add cream mixture and onions to cooked pasta and ham; toss gently to coat.

Sunny's Ham and Cheese Biscuits with Honey Dijon Butter image

2 cups self-rising flour
1/3 cup shredded Cheddar-jack cheese blend
3 slices thin deli ham, chopped
3 tablespoons salted butter, slightly frozen
1 cup buttermilk
All-purpose flour, for dusting
Nonstick cooking spray, for the baking sheet, optional
1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, softened
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon whole-grain Dijon mustard
Blackberry or raspberry preserves, for serving

Steps:

  • For the biscuits: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the self-rising flour in a large bowl and toss with the cheese and ham. Grate the butter into the flour mixture. Pour in the buttermilk and mix gently with a wooden spoon. Once the dough comes together, turn it out onto a floured surface, divide it into 8 equal balls and pat them down lightly.
  • Put the balls in a cast-iron pan or on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake until brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
  • For the butter: In a bowl, mix together the butter, honey and mustard.
  • When the biscuits are done, brush some of the butter over the tops. Serve the biscuits with the remaining butter and the preserves.

DOUBLE MUSTARD AND HERB CRUSTED HAM

One 8- to 10-pound bone-in, smoked, fully-cooked ham, butt or shank portion
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 cup whole grain mustard
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Let the ham sit at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Trim off any skin from the ham if needed. Score the ham through the fat in a diagonal crosshatch pattern without cutting into the meat. Place the ham, flat-side down, on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour 1/4 inch of water into the bottom of the pan. Roast the ham until it reaches an internal temperature of about 130 degrees F, about 2 1/2 hours or 15 minutes per pound.
  • Meanwhile, mix the mustards and honey together in a small bowl. Mix together the breadcrumbs, parsley, thyme and olive oil together in another bowl.
  • Remove the ham from the oven when it has reached 130 degrees F internally. Increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F. Spoon or brush the mustard mixture all over the ham. Carefully pat the crumbs all over the ham. Add water as needed to the bottom of the pan. Return the ham to the oven and roast until the breadcrumbs are golden brown, about 25 minutes more.

4 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup finely chopped onion

6 cups 2% milk
1 jar (15 ounces) process cheese sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
4 cups cubed fully cooked ham

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni according to package directions, adding broccoli during the last 3-4 minutes; drain. , In a large Dutch oven, saute onion in butter 2 minutes. Stir in flour, mustard, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cheese sauce and 1 cup cheddar cheese until blended. , Remove from heat; stir in ham, macaroni and broccoli. Divide between a greased 13x9-in. baking dish and a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. , Bake, uncovered, 25-35 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.

1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Grease a rack and place it in a shallow baking pan.
  • Place the ham on it and bake uncovered at 325*F for 50-60 minutes.
  • After the long baking brush about 3 TBLS of the baste over the ham and bake an additional 10-15 minutes (or until ham is heated through to an internal temperature of 140*).
  • Stir the T of water into the remaining glaze, heat and serve with the ham.
