This is a tasty grilled salmon that you will do again and again. Don't over cook the salmon or you'll end up with a dry meal! Nice for an intimate meal for two.

1 lb salmon
3/4 cup Bourbon
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
pepper
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Combine marinade ingredients and pour over salmon, soak for 1 hour.
  • Spray grill with cooking spray.
  • Grill salmon for 2 minutes on each side.

4 6-oz salmon fillets or steaks
3/4 cup bourbon whiskey
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • 1) Rinse salmon & pat dry. 2) Gently place in a large plastic bag. 3) In a small bowl- stir together bourbon, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger & pepper. 4) Pour sauce over salmon into bag. Marinate in frig for 1 hour, turning occasionally. 5) Get out your fish bag, set aside marinade. Take salmon out 6) Spray down the grill with non-stick spray. 7) Place fish on grill, brushing the fish down with leftover marinade. 8) Grill for 8-10 minutes. Your salmon will be done when it easily flakes with a fork. Enjoy, you've created a masterwork!

4 tablespoons butter
½ cup dark brown sugar
4 (6 ounce) salmon steaks
⅓ cup bourbon whiskey

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar. Place salmon fillets on top of brown sugar mixture. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat. Turn salmon, and pour bourbon around the fillets. Continue cooking for 5 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Spoon glaze over the salmon, and serve.

  • Combine honey, bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, mustard, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes in a small pan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium high heat, stirring continuously.
  • Reduce heat to medium and maintain a steady boil for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. You'll need to take pan off of the burner and let the bubbling settle down to check it. Mixture should be syrupy and reduced to about one half. It will get a bit thicker as it cools. You may need to boil it for another minute or two to achieve the syrupy consistency.
  • Add lime juice and stir well to combine. If making ahead, transfer sauce to a covered container and store at room temperature. If serving salmon right away, pour half of this mixture into a small bowl, leave the rest in the pan.
