HOLLY COOKIES CORNFLAKE STYLE

Holly Cookies Cornflake Style image

I just ran across my Mom's recipe for Holly Cookies. The index card is stained with green food coloring and looks like it has gotten alot of use during her Christmas baking. Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 stick butter, unsalted + 2 t.
1 pkg large marshmallows
1 1/2 tsp green food coloring
1 capful of pure vanilla
5 c cornflakes
1 small container of red candied cherries

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the candied cherries into fourths(1/4), set aside for decoration.
  • 2. Add marshmallows and butter(in pieces) to a microwave safe container. Micorwave until mixture is melted. This will take about 1 - 2 minutes. Stir well to make sure that everything has melted and is smooth.
  • 3. Mix in Pure Vanilla and green food coloring. Stir well to combine.
