Yield 6 to 8 servings (One 10- to 12-inch cast-iron skillet or one 8-inch square cake pan)

Number Of Ingredients 8

5 cups peeled, cored and sliced Granny Smith apples
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch kosher salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

Steps:

  • Prepare a grill for indirect heat. If using a charcoal grill, build the hot coals on one side only. If using a gas grill, heat one side only to medium-high heat.
  • Add the apples to a 10- to 12-inch cast-iron skillet, filling it almost to the top. Combine the flour, oats, sugars, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Cut the butter into small cubes and add to the flour mixture. Using your hands, press the butter into the dry ingredients until it forms a course crumble. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.
  • Place the skillet over indirect heat, cover the grill and cook until the apples are completely tender when pierced with a knife and the crumble is golden brown and crispy, 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • (Alternatively, you can bake this in an 8-inch square cake pan in a 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.)

10 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples (about 8 medium)
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
Vanilla ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • Place the apple slices on a double thickness of heavy-duty foil (about 24x12 in.). In a small bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. , Fold foil around apple mixture and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20-25 minutes or until apples are tender. Open foil carefully to allow steam to escape. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.

  • Pour 1 cup water to inner pot of a large multi-cooker. In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Spoon into a greased 2-qt. baking dish. In a small bowl, whisk eggs, cream and vanilla; pour over apple mixture. , Tightly cover dish with foil to prevent moisture from getting inside. Cut two 20x3-in. strips of heavy-duty foil; crisscross so they resemble an "X." Place dish in center of "X" shape. Using the foil strips as handles, lower dish into inner pot. Lock pressure lid. Press pressure function; select bake setting. Press timer; set to 25 minutes. Start., Let pressure release naturally for 10 minutes; quick-release any remaining pressure., In small bowl, combine cracker crumbs, pecans and butter; sprinkle over top. Cover with air frying lid. 8 cups thinly sliced unpeeled apples
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 ½ teaspoons ReaLemon® Lemon Juice
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup evaporated skim milk
¼ cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, lemon juice and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Spoon into prepared dish. Spread applesauce evenly over apple mixture.
