GRANDMA'S CREAMY POTATO SALAD
This potato salad is just like Grandma's.

Steps:
- Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and let cool enough to handle, 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into cubes.
- Mix mayonnaise, celery, onion, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl. Add potatoes and mix to combine. Stir in eggs and sprinkle with paprika.

- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Rub potatoes lightly with oil, place on a baking sheet and bake 60 to 80 minutes, until just tender all the way through. Let cool and refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days. (Refrigeration gives the potatoes the right texture.)
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, chives, garlic, onion, salt and pepper. Using a box grater, coarsely grate potatoes with skins on. (Most of the skin will peel off; discard it.) Add grated potatoes to sour cream mixture, and gently toss to combine. Add 1 cup Cheddar and 1 cup Gruyère and mix gently. Transfer to an 8-by-8-inch-square baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake until hot, bubbly and lightly browned around the edges, 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before serving, sprinkled with chives.

GRAM'S SECRET 24 HOUR POTATOES
These potatoes are a family staple for the holidays. It is my grandma's secret recipe. Be warned, once your guests try them you will be forced to bring them to every family gathering. These are some delicious potatoes.

Steps:
- Par boil peeled potatoes for 5 minutes. Do not let potatoes get cooked all the way through, potatoes should remain firm.
- Grate potatoes into shreds with box grater.
- In a large bowl mix potatoes, milk, onion, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and dry mustard.
- Pour mixture in to a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove dish from refrigerator 1 hour before baking.
- Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until top becomes golden brown.

- Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1-inch pieces. Put them in a large saucepan, add 2 tablespoons salt, and cover them by 1 inch of cold water.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce to medium and let cook until piercing with a fork yields no resistance, about 10 minutes.
- Reserve 1 cup of the cooking water, then drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash the potatoes over low heat using a potato masher or wooden spoon until completely mashed.
- Vigorously stir in the reserved potato water, adding 1 tablespoon at a time until the potatoes are smooth and come together (you will use about 1/2 cup). Stir in the sour cream, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

- Cut the potatoes into uniform two-inch chunks and place in a heavy saucepan along with the garlic. Cover with water, bring to a boil, lower heat to medium and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
