Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup wheat germ
(2) 4-ounce jars of baby food

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350˚.
  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a medium-size mixing bowl. It will form a thick dough. If the dough is crumbly, add a small amount of water.
  • Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/4″ thick. Use cookie cutters or a pizza cutter to create biscuits that are appropriately sized for your dog.
  • Place the biscuits on a parchment paper-lined cooke sheet. Bake the biscuits for 20-25 minutes. You will know they are done when they begin to look dry and slightly cracked on top.

Time 30m

Yield Twelve 5-inch treats, or Twenty four 3-inch treats

Number Of Ingredients 7

Vegetable oil cooking spray
2 cups whole wheat flour, plus more for dusting
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1 cup creamy peanut butter, at room temperature

GOOD DOGGIE DOG TREATS

Good Doggie Dog Treats image

My little dog who is very fussy loves these homemade cookies, although the recipe calls for 2-3 tbsp brown sugar you could always add a wee bit more if desired. These make a wonderful Christmas present for doggies, purchase a cheap doggie bowl, fill with baked dog cookies then wrap in coloured paper, I have given these out many times at the holidays to friends that have dogs, oh and my two kittys love them too ;-)
