GERMAN POTATO AND SAUSAGE CASSEROLE
This is right up our alley, and I'll be making it tomorrow. Our daughter will not be happy, but alas, she can always eat something else! I will only drain the saurkraut, and not rinse it, as we love the taste. I used fat-free half-and-half. Yummy! From Pillsbury's "C'mon Over!" cookbook.

GERMAN POTATO SALAD WITH SAUSAGE
Hearty and saucy, this potato salad is an old family recipe that was updated using cream of potato soup to ease preparation. Despite the "salad" name, this is a hot and filling dish that brings comfort food to the supper. The sausage and sauerkraut give it a special zip. -Teresa McGill, Trotwood, Ohio

OKTOBERFEST CASSEROLE
In northeastern Ohio, we love German flavors. This delicious casserole is a trifecta mashup of my favorite dishes. It combines the flavors of classic cheesy hash brown casserole with bratwursts and sauerkraut, pretzels and beer cheese. It takes less than 10 minutes to mix and takes only one bowl. It's sure to please everyone any time of the year. —Sarah Markley, Ashland, Ohio
