1 cup orange juice or other fruit juice
2 teaspoons Benefiber®*
1 banana
2 cups frozen fruit of your choice - peaches, berries, melon, or whatever you have

Steps:

  • Place the juice and Benefiber® in a blender and blend 30 seconds. Add the banana and blend until smooth. Blend in the frozen fruit.
  • Each serving provides 8.7 g of fiber.

Troy's Frosty Fruit Smoothie image

This frosty non-dairy delight is the standard breakfast in our home every weekend year-round. Frozen fruit (no sugar added) makes for convenience and frostiness. The fresh bananas give it its thick, creamy texture. Couple this smoothie some almonds or pecans on the side, and I suspect this must be a taste of heaven. It makes a blender full and tastes best when made fresh. If you happen to have any leftovers, pour them into freezer pops for a healthy and yummy snack the kids will love. Be creative and use whatever fruits you happen to love. Measurements are approximate, we just fill up the blender. :)

2 bananas, peeled
2 cups strawberries, whole frozen
1 cup blueberries, whole frozen
2 cups peaches, sliced frozen
2 cups pears, frozen sliced
3 1/2 cups orange juice

Steps:

  • Quarter bananas into bottom of blender, add the rest of your fruit and pour in juice. Cover and blend until frosty and smooth. If it's too thick, add a little more juice.
