CUTE EDIBLE APPLE TURKEY (THANKSGIVING TREAT)
These are really cute turkeys made out of apples that kids can make for school or just eat as a snack. They also make adorable Thanksgiving Table decorations. They can be made with either Fruit Loops or raisins. Rule: broken Fruit Loops must be eaten. Variations: head can be a cut out that is glued on or a large marshmallow with raisin eyes and a candy corn stuck into it for a beak.

Steps:
- To make the feathers: Take raisins or Fruit Loops and slide onto toothpicks about 3/4 the way down. Place a mini-marshmallow on the end. You will need 6 or 7 "feathers" depending on the size of your apple.
- Stick the "feathers" into the back of the apple.
- To make the head: Slide raisins down toothpick and top with a green olive (head). Use cloves for eyes. If your olive has a pimiento you can pull it out the back of the olive and let it hang so that it looks like a turkey wattle.
- Insert three toothpicks under the turkey so it can stand freely.

Steps:
- Divide the frosting into 5 small bowls. Tint frosting in these colors: brown or black, yellow, white, blue & red. Place tinted frosting into sandwich bags and cut a TINY hole in one corner to squeeze out the frosting.
- Squeeze a small line of brown or black frosting across the top of one cookie and poke in 5 of the candy corns. This cookie gets attached to the base cookie with a small amount of the brown or black frosting. You may need to prop the cookies together with a cup to hold it while the frosting sets. cut a small piece of the peanut butter up to make a flat surface and attach to both top and bottom cookie. Top with the malted ball, and attach another candy corn with frosting to the malted ball to form the beak. Pipe a small amount of red frosting down the side to form the waddle. Pipe on two white eyes with a dot of blue frosting. Pipe two legs on the bottom cookie, to form the legs for the turkey.
