Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the onions and cook until just starting to soften, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the ground turkey and then sprinkle in the salt, paprika and garlic powder. Cook, breaking up clumps of the turkey with a wooden spoon, until brown, about 6 minutes. Add the gravy, corn, lima beans, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Reduce the heat to a simmer; simmer for about 3 minutes.
- While the filling simmers, stir together the potatoes, cheese and eggs in a large bowl, making sure it is thoroughly mixed. Layer the potatoes on top of the filling in the skillet. Bake the shepherd's pie until bubbling and golden brown, 30 to 45 minutes.
GROUND TURKEY SHEPHERD'S PIE
Lean ground turkey has significantly less saturated fat than beef. It tastes rich and earthy when simmered with chipotle chili powder. Carrots and peas brighten the filling, while yogurt, stirred into the mashed potatoes and parsnips, adds calcium.

Whisk together cornstarch and reserved 2 cups cooking liquid; add to turkey. Boil for 1 minute. Stir in peas. Transfer to a 2-quart round or oval baking dish; top with potatoes. HEALTHY SHEPHERD'S PIE WITH GROUND TURKEY
Old fashioned, "stick to your ribs" comfort food decadence minus the guilt. The star here is the cauliflower mashed "potatoes" that will have your family amazed at their authentic taste. It's a versatile dish that I've made with frozen and/or fresh cauliflower and subsidized with a potato or two. The key here is just to not boil the cauliflower.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cauliflower and saute, stirring often to prevent it from getting too brown, until soft enough to mash with a fork, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl, add Greek yogurt, and mash with a fork. Pour in chicken broth a little at a time, continuing to mash until fluffy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook ground turkey and garlic in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Stir in soup mix and flour until combined, then slowly add water and stir until creamy but not runny. Simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spread turkey mixture in the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Layer with frozen corn, cauliflower mixture, and Cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with french-fried onions and bake until browned, about 5 minutes more. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for a few minutes before serving.

EASY TURKEY SHEPHERD'S PIE
Here is a very easy Shepherd's Pie, using mostly pre-made ingredients and ground turkey instead of ground beef. I use onion powder and garlic powder because I don't like the texture of cooked onions and garlic in my food. However, I'm sure the real thing would be good for those who prefer. I use the pre-made mashed potatoes that are usually found near the packaged meats for added ease.

Steps:
- 1. One Ninja Cooking System or a large skillet & casserole dish will work too.
- 2. Add turkey to the pot and the seasonings as well. Set to STOVETOP HIGH. Cook about 5-10 minutes till turkey is cooked through, stirring often.
- 3. Stir in your tuscan veggies and flour. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4. I made this for my parents the other night for their return from Florida. Some of us like corn and some of us don't, so I did a half corn. 4/8/13
- 5. Spread evenly the mashed potatoes over the top of mixture.
- 6. Top with swiss or cheddar. Set OVEN to 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cover & cook until mixture is hot. Now, just pick up the pot right out of the Ninja and take to the table. Put on a hot pad and this will remain PIPING HOT.
- 7. yes
- 8. (I put some french fried onions in a bowl on the table. It adds a little crunch which I like.)
- 9. Photo of Tuscan veggies that I use because my husband doesn't care for green beans and does not eat corn. I also didn't have enough mashed potatoes, so I whipped up a box of fake one's and it worked fine.
