SUPER SIMPLE OVEN BARBEQUED CHICKEN
This dish is a good alternative to BBQ chicken and is also good for anyone on a carbohydrate restrictive diet. Lots if good flavor! This recipe can be altered to serve as little or as many as you like.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Arrange chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, allowing room between pieces. Drizzle with Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke, then sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, thyme, oregano and salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.

OVEN BBQ CHICKEN BREASTS
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Rub the chicken breasts with the oil and sprinkle generously all over with the grill seasoning. Arrange in a greased shallow 2-quart baking dish. Alternatively, and for a quicker cleanup, line the baking dish with foil and grease the foil before adding the chicken to prevent sticking.
- Combine the barbecue sauce ingredients in a bowl and stir to blend.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through. The chicken should register at least 165 F inside on an instant-read food thermometer , the minimum safe temperature for chicken consumption.
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy.

- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking pan with heavy-duty foil to make cleanup easier.
- Prepare chicken breasts by cutting off the rib meat if you wish and rinse and pat dry. Leave the skin on. Season chicken with salt and pepper and put in the pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until juices start to appear, about 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove the pan and generously pour 1/2 of the barbecue sauce over chicken. Continue to bake for 20 minutes. Repeat with remaining barbecue sauce and cook until no longer pink in the centers and skin is crispy, 15 to 20 minutes more.

EASY OVEN BARBEQUED (BARBECUED) CHICKEN
Is this the very best barbequed chicken you ever tasted? Nope.... but it's pretty darn good! It's also about as easy as any scratch entree recipe you'll ever make. I prepared it a few nights back when I couldn't come up with anything for supper until late in the day -- that's when I remembered the frozen chicken (cut up) in my freezer. If the chicken is still half-frozen even after some defrosting in the microwave, this recipe still works fine.

- Pre-heat your oven to 350-degrees F.
- Dump the cut up chicken parts (you can use all of one kind, such as thighs or drumsticks if you wish -- just use about three pounds or a little more, of chicken) into a large mixing bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave and pour it all over the chicken (if the chicken is really cold the butter will re-solidify and that's okay.).
- Sprinkle the seasoning salt all over the chicken and blend the chicken parts around until they are evenly covered with the butter and seasoned salt. I don't bother to trim the chicken -- it really makes little difference whether you do or not. You can also add a little garlic powder and/or herbs if you like those flavors -- a little rosemary would be terrific.
- Prepare a roasting pan (or large casserole dish) by placing a rack in the bottom (or anything else, such as an ovenproof plate) which will keep the chicken off the bottom. Add the water to the bottom of the roasting pan. Lay out the chicken on the rack. Cover the roaster with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for one hour at 350-degrees F.
- At the end of the hour, uncover the chicken and brush on the barbeque sauce until the chicken parts are well-covered. Don't worry too much about the undersides. Re-set the oven to 250-degrees F. and bake the chicken for another full hour (add another 1/2 cup of water if the roasting pan is dry -- this steams the chicken and gets it really tender.) Serve with side dishes (I like steamed asparagus and microwave-baked potatoes.).
- I like to serve the chicken with additional barbeque sauce at the table. My three favorite commercial sauces (in order of preference) are Kroger's hickory sauce (store brand), Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, and Open Pit (regular.).
KITTENCAL'S EASY OVEN-BAKED BARBECUED CHICKEN
Really this is such an easy recipe I wasn't going to even bother posting it, I have been making this for years and when you can't barbecue outside this is the next best thing! --- Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce works really well or use your own favorite, I most always use my recipe#232433 and prepare the sauce a day ahead --- I did not list the amounts for the seasoned salt and garlic powder as I never measure but probably use about 2 teaspoons each for all the chicken pieces, I usually use about 2 cups sauce but a little more or less is fine -- boneless, skinless chicken breasts work well also but cooking time will need to be reduced, you will *love* this!

- Set oven to 350 degrees F (set oven rack to bottom position).
- Grease a jelly-roll pan (it is best to cook the chicken on a rack that fits in the jelly-roll pan, if you do not have a rack then just sit the chicken in the pan).
- Pat chicken dry using paper towels, then place skin-side down on the jelly-roll pan.
- Season the chicken with seasoned salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
- Turn skin-side up and season again.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven and carefully drain all fat from the pan.
- Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken turning the pieces over to coat with the sauce (place skin-side up again in pan).
- Return to oven UNCOVERED and bake for about 30 minutes more or until if cooked through.

- To make Easy Oven Baked BBQ Chicken, start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees, line a large baking sheet with foil and if available, add a metal baking cooling rack on top and set aside.
- Wash and pat dry your chicken pieces and sprinkle generously with seasoning salt or salt and pepper. Add the vegetable oil to a large skillet and heat over medium high heat. When heated, add 2 or 3 chicken pieces to the skillet, skin side down. Let sear for 2-3 minutes without moving the chicken and once seared, remove your chicken to the baking sheet and place skin side down. Repeat with all of your chicken pieces until all have been seared.
- Coat your chicken generously (all sides) with your favorite BBQ sauce and bake skin side down for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, coat again with BBQ sauce and then flip your chicken to cook skin side up for the next 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove from oven, coat again with the BBQ sauce and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes or until your chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees and is no longer pink. Remove your Easy Oven Baked BBQ Chicken from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
