Layered in a pizza pan, this taco dip makes a pretty presentation! "I prepared this yummy spread for birthday parties and family get-together," says Janet Vrieselaar of Rosedale, British Columbia. "It's wonderful spread on baked tortilla chips or low-fat crackers. I never seem to make enough-it's always the first appetizer to go."

1 package (8 ounces) fat-free cream cheese
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/4 cup fat-free mayonnaise
2 teaspoons taco seasoning
1 cup taco sauce
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 medium green pepper, diced
3 green onions, chopped
1 medium tomato, diced
Tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning until smooth. Spread onto a 12-in. round serving plate. Spread with taco sauce; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, green pepper, onions and tomato. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Serve with tortilla chips.

This is an easy dip that can be made low fat. I make it for parties and never have any left over to bring home. I usually double or triple it for parties and put it in a class dish so the layers can be seen.

2 tablespoons sour cream
0.5 (1 1/4 ounce) packet taco seasoning
lettuce, shredded
tomatoes, diced
black olives, sliced
jalapeno, sliced
cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and taco season using a hand mixer.
  • Place the lettuce on the bottom of a small casserole dish.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on the lettuce.
  • Layer the rest on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Chill for at least one hour.
  • Serve with your favorite chips.

1 pound ground beef
2 (1.25 ounce) packages mild taco seasoning mix (such as McCormick®), divided
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (16 ounce) package shredded lettuce
1 (8 ounce) jar salsa, or to taste

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; season with 1 package taco seasoning mix. Drain and discard grease. Let beef cool completely.
  • Stir sour cream, cream cheese, and remaining taco seasoning mix together in a bowl until smooth.
  • Spread sour cream mixture onto a baking sheet to cover. Sprinkle about half the Cheddar cheese over the sour cream layer; top evenly with the ground beef, lettuce, and remaining Cheddar cheese, respectively. Spoon salsa over the dip.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

1/2 cup salsa

1 can (4-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained, optional

Steps:
