The easiest fudgey brownies you can make without a mix. One of my most requested recipes--even my kids' friends ask for it!

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cocoa
5 extra-large eggs
1 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips

Steps:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x13 pan with nonstick spray (or nonstick with flour spray).
Dump all dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir with a whisk to mix well (my version of sifting).
Add all of the "wet" ingredients and stir until mixed well with wooden spoon.
Spread in prepared pan and sprinkle the cup (or so) of chocolate chips over the top.
Bake at 350 for no more than 30 minute They are done when the edge just starts to pull away from the pan and a toothpick comes out with a little bit of brownie on it. I set my timer for 28 minute to avoid over baking them.

Ingredients

1 package white cake mix (regular size)
2 large eggs, room temperature
1/3 cup canola oil
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter, cubed

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs and oil. Press two-thirds of the mixture into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Set remaining cake mixture aside. , In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk, chocolate chips and butter. Microwave, uncovered, until chips and butter are melted; stir until smooth. Pour over crust., Drop teaspoonfuls of remaining cake mixture over top. Bake until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes. Cool before cutting.
