Try this Piña Colada Smoothie made with only five ingredients including pineapples, banana and coconut milk - a healthy twist on the cocktail!

2 cups pineapple chunks
2 frozen bananas
½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 ½ cup coconut milk (carton)

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender in the order of appearance.
  • Blend the ingredients in a high-speed blender for 2-3 minutes until you get a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Taste the smoothie, adding more coconut milk if it is too thick or adding a sweetener of choice if it's not sweet enough for you.
  • Pour into a cup or mason jar. Enjoy cold immediately, or store in fridge for up to 24 hours.

  • Puree until smooth.
  • Pour into 2 large glasses.
  • Garnish each serving with a small wedge of pineapple.

This one is sort of a smoothie and I found it when I was looking for ways to use the coconut milk and coconut cream in my pantry...which I love! Great brekkie treat for anyone!

1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks or 1 (8 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, in juice
2 small ripe bananas

Steps:

  • Dump everything (except 2 pineapple chunks or tidbits) in a blender and process until smooth.
  • Add ice and process until ice is crushed.
  • Serve in glasses and garnish with a piece of pineapple and a cherry, if desired.

4 tbsp hemp hearts ((or 1 scoop vanilla protein powder))
2 tbsp shredded coconut
pinch turmeric ((optional for bolder colour))

  • Toss all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend on low until smooth, 1 to 3 minutes. Optional to use splashed more almond milk to thin if desired.(If using protein powder: forgo adding the date, unless you like it very sweet. Most protein powders contain sugar).
