3 cups soy sauce (kikkoman)
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce (lea & perrins)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 dash paprika
1 dash ground pepper

Steps:

  • Using a 1 quart container Whisk all ingredients together until well blended. Seal well and all should last refrigerated 1-2 months.
  • Refrigerate.

Can't get Dale's Seasoning where you live? No problem! This DIY version is easy to make and tastes like the real deal. Dale's is famous in the southern US. It's a great as a marinade or baste when grilling meat or poultry. It's especially delicious when used with steaks. You can use fresh garlic in place of the garlic powder but the seasoning mixture shouldn't be kept more than a week then.

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 cups soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 dash black pepper
1 dash paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Combine the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well with a wire whisk until incorporated. Store the mixture in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. Use as a seasoning or marinade for steak, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, and vegetables. Marinade for 10-15 minutes (you don't need much longer than that).

1.25 lbs Boneless beef tenderloin or sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • To begin making Dale's Steak Bites, in a medium bowl, combine Dale's and beef, turning until well coated.
  • Then, cover and marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Remove beef from refrigerator, discard marinade.
  • Next, in a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  • Brown beef on all sides for 4-6 minutes, or until cooked to desired doneness.
  • Finally, sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.

Steps:

  • To begin making Dale's Easy Steaks, place steaks in shallow pan. Pour dale's over over steaks until sauce is about 1/4 inch deep in the bottom of pan. Shake on pepper and garlic salt.
  • Then, marinate steaks for 15 minutes on each side.
  • Finally, Grill to desired doneness. Baste steaks while cooking.

1/2 cup tamari
1/4 cup Braggs liquid aminos
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon fish sauce

Steps:

  • If you are not gluten-sensitive, you may use 3/4 cup soy sauce in place of the tamari and liquid aminos.
  • Use any kind of mildly flavored oil of your choosing. I like Sun-Coco (sunflower-coconut oil blend) but you can use grapeseed oil, vegetable oil, a mild olive oil, or anything you like.
  • Blend all ingredients together.
  • Place in a jar, salad dressing bottle or cruet. Remember to shake before EACH use.
  • Use to marinate meat or vegetables. Let food marinate for 20 minutes to several hours, and grill or broil. This gives a lovely caramelized saltiness to every dish.
