Biscuit Bites couldn't be easier. Convenient refrigerated biscuits are simply sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and onion powder, then baked. "These savory mini biscuits are wonderful with soup, a main dish or even as a snack," writes Joy beck of Cincinnati, Ohio. "We like to munch on them instead of popcorn while watching television."

1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Cut each biscuit into thirds; place on a greased baking sheet. Combine cheese and onion powder; sprinkle over biscuits. Bake at 400° for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.

1 (10 ounce) can pillsbury golden layers refrigerated biscuits
2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar (or more if desired)
3/4 cup Honey Nut Cheerios, finely crushed

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Spray large cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Separate dough into 8 biscuits.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  • Place biscuit quarters in large bowl.
  • Drizzle with margarine and sugar-cinnamon mixture; toss to coat.
  • Add crushed cereal; toss to coat.
  • Place biscuit quarters in single layer, sides not touching, on sprayed cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 400°F for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown; serve warm.

1 lb sausage (I used Tennessee Pride brand)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 (12 ounce) cans biscuits, Grands Jr. Flaky

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray mini muffin pans with cooking spray, set aside.
  • Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain fat.
  • Stir together cooked sausage, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Remove biscuits from cans and split each biscuit into two. Place each biscuit round into muffin tin. Scoop sausage mixture into biscuit cups.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until biscuits are golden brown.

1/4 cup commercial taco sauce
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes
2 cups biscuit mix
2 teaspoons butter or 2 teaspoons margarine, melted
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; let stand 5 minutes.
  • Add biscuit mix, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 4 or 5 times.
  • Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter (or you can use a jar lid).
  • Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Brush tops with butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake at 450* for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Yield: about 1 1/2 dozen Note: Dough may be chilled 2 hours before baking, if desired.

1 (7 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 tablespoon butter, melted
4 1/2 teaspoons grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (8 ounce) package brown and serve sausages

Steps:

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out each biscuit into a 4 inch circle; brush with butter.
  • Combine Parmesan cheese and oregano; sprinkle over butter.
  • Place a sausage link in the center of each; roll up.
  • Cut each widthwise into four pieces; insert a toothpick into each.
  • Place on an ungreased baking sheet.

1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
6 eggs
1 (12 ounce) package hormel little sizzlers pork sausage links, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 cups dry biscuit mix
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375º F.
  • Lightly grease baking sheet.
  • In large skillet, over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add eggs. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until lightly scrambled and very softly set, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • In large bowl, combine LITTLE SIZZLERS®, onion, green pepper and garlic powder. Add dry baking mix and shredded cheese. Using clean hands, knead mixture until well blended (mixture will resemble meat loaf).
  • Stir cooked eggs into sausage mixture and combine until blended. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. *Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until sausage is cooked through and bites are ligthly browned.
  • ** If desired, serve with salsa on the side.
  • *At this point, uncooked breakfast bites can be frozen in a single layer. Before baking, thaw bites and bake as directed.
  • ** After breakfast bites are cooked, you may also freeze in a single layer. To bake, place breakfast bites in a single layer. Bake at 375ºF for 15 minutes or until heated through.
  • To microwave, place bites in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate. Heat on HIGH for 30 seconds or until hot.
  • BAKING OPTION: Place sausage mixture into a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown. To serve, cut into bite-size pieces.

So after looking through the odds and ends in my "fridge",I came up with this recipe.If desired brush tops of "bites" with melted margarine or butter. My son who is known on here by "Cylopsmaster" came up with the name for this recipe.Submitted to "ZAAR" on June 26th,2008.

1 (8 ounce) box buttermilk biscuit mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sage sausage
1/2 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • While oven is heating, cook sausage over medium high heat, until lightly browned.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • In a medium sized bowl, mix together biscuit mix and water, until well combined.
  • Then add rest of ingredients, including drained sausage.
  • At this point the mixture will be thick and sticky.
  • Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until tops are golden brown, if desired brush with melted butter.
