CREME DROP FUDGE
Do you remember Creme Drops? I was talking with my 90 year old Uncle and he told me that when he was a kid he would go into town and buy a pound for 5 cents and eat them all on the way home. Steps:
- 1. Line a 8 x 8 inch square pan with wax paper or parchment paper. In a microwave safe glass bowl (I use a 4 cup glass measuring cup), mix all ingredients, I like to dice the creme drops into 4 pieces. Microwave on high power for 2 minutes.
- 2. It will come out soupy just keep stirring very quickly and it will thicken up pretty fast. Make sure that you stir very well making sure that any of the white center that may have clumped a little gets dissolved.
- 3. Spread into prepared pan and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into small pieces and store in covered container in the refrigerator.
- 4. TIPS: If not fully melted microwave a little longer. If you want it more chocolaty add 2 handfuls of chocolate chips. If fudge is too soft reduce butter to 1 Tablespoon.

- Line a 9-in. square pan with nonstick foil. In a heavy saucepan, melt the Tootsie Rolls, peanut butter and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until Tootsie Rolls are melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in the vanilla. Alternately stir in the confectioners' sugar (1/4 cup at a time) and milk. The mixture will be VERY thick. Fold in pecans if desired. Spread into prepared pan. Using a sharp knife, score the surface into 1-in. squares. Press a M&M's candy into the center of each square while warm (not hot). Allow to cool. Using foil, remove fudge from pan; cut into squares. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
TOOTSIE ROLL FUDGE
When my husband came home with 50 pounds of Tootsie Rolls he bought at a discount store, I had to figure out a way to use them-so I came up with this recipe! A red or green M&M's candy atop each piece makes them extra jolly.

In a heavy saucepan, melt the Tootsie Rolls, peanut butter and remaining butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla (mixture will be very thick). Fold in pecans., Spread into prepared pan. Using a sharp knife, score the surface into 1-in. squares. Press a M&M's candy into the center of each square. Cool. Using foil, remove fudge from pan; cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
