Grilled Cheese Roll Ups image

These make a great side to soup or a main meal or snack. This recipe is for one roll. Multiply as many times as you wish to make your meal!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 slice bread ((crusts on or off))
1 oz. sliced cheese ((1 slice - any type you prefer on a grilled cheese))
1 tsp. prepared basil pesto ((optional))
oil or butter (for cooking)

Steps:

  • Using a rolling pin, roll your slice of bread as thin as you can get it.
  • If using pesto, smear it on the bread.
  • Line up your slice of cheese with the bottom of your slice of bread.
  • Then roll up tightly like a carpet.
  • Add some oil or butter to the pan and cook the roll up, turning it frequently as it cooks, until it is brown all the way around and the cheese is melted.
  • Spritz the roll up with an oil sprayer, using a very light spray. Set the roll in your air fryer and air fry for one minute.
  • Serve this with a bowl of soup or with marinara for dip!

Here's what you need: bread, cheddar cheese, butter, tomato soup

3 slices bread
3 slices cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter
tomato soup, to taste, optional

Steps:

  • Cut crust off the slices of bread. This makes the bread easier to roll and will hold the shape better.
  • Flatten slices of bread with a rolling pin.
  • Layer the slices of cheese on top of each slice of bread so that the cheese is offset from the bread by about 1 inch (2 ½ cm) vertically. Other fillings can be added here if desired.
  • Roll each slice of bread with cheese vertically as tightly as possible without cracking the bread. Gently squeeze each roll to maintain its shape and set down on its seam.
  • Melt the butter in a pan. Grill each roll starting with the seam side down on the hot pan.
  • Rotate so that all sides are evenly golden brown.
  • Enjoy!

4 KRAFT Singles
2 tsp. butter or margarine

Steps:

  • Use rolling pin to flatten each bread slice to 5x3-1/2-inch rectangle. Cut off and discard crusts.
  • Top each bread slice with Singles; roll up tightly.
  • Melt butter in small skillet on medium heat. Add roll-ups, seam-sides down; cook 3 min. or until Singles are melted and roll-ups are evenly browned, turning occasionally.

10 slices sandwich bread, crusts removed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
2 ½ tablespoons finely chopped white onion
1 pinch cayenne pepper
10 slices provolone cheese
10 toothpicks, or as needed
½ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Flatten bread slices on a work surface using a rolling pin.
  • Mix cream cheese, chives, onion, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl until smooth and creamy. Spread a thick layer of cream cheese mixture on 1 side of each piece of bread. Place 1 slice provolone cheese over cream cheese layer. Roll bread around cheese filling and secure each roll with a toothpick.
  • Brush each cheese roll with butter and place, seam-side down, on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes; flip rolls and continue baking until lightly browned, 5 to 10 minutes more. Remove toothpicks and cut each roll in half.
