185g Jumbo Lump Crab
1/2 Onion
1 Garlic Glove
1/2 Shallot Clove
Double Cream
Cooked and Chilled Gnocchi
Chopped Fresh Spinach
Parmesan Cheese
Salt
Pepper

Steps:

  • In a large pan, simmer the onion in olive oil. Add garlic, shallots and crab and sauté for 3 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add gnocchi and cream, stirring to coat all the ingredients. Simmer on low heat for about 3 minutes, watch the cream doesn't stick. Stir in chopped spinach and add salt and pepper to taste. Serve in a bowl with parmesan cheese on top.

  • In a large, deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the shallots and cook, stirring frequently, until softened, 3-5 minutes. Add the garlic and continue to cook and stir for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the wine to the pan and reduce the heat slightly, allowing it to simmer until reduced by half, about 10 minutes.
  • Place the crab in the oven and broil for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Once cool, remove the meat from the shells and set aside.
