Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
Cubed pound cake, sliced bananas and fresh strawberries and pineapple chunks

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine the first five ingredients; cook and stir over medium heat until chips are melted. Remove from heat. In a small bowl, whisk a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks; return all to pan, whisking constantly. Cook and stir until a thermometer reads 160°., Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm. Serve with cake and fruit.

1 jar (12 ounces) caramel ice cream topping
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine milk, caramel topping and chocolate; cook and stir over low heat until blended and heated through. Transfer to a heated fondue pot; keep warm. Serve with fruit and/or pretzels for dipping.

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine both chocolates and cream; cook and stir over low heat until smooth. Stir in orange juice concentrate; keep warm. Serve with cake and fruit.

2 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream

Steps:

  • Place a small bowl in a larger bowl filled with ice cubes; set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate and coffee until chocolate is melted; stir until smooth and set aside. , In a small heavy saucepan over low heat, whisk the eggs, sugar and salt until mixture reaches 160°, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; whisk in chocolate mixture. , Pour into prepared bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes or until cooled, stirring occasionally. Add cream. With a hand mixer, beat until soft peaks form. Spoon into dishes; refrigerate until serving.
