- add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. you may
- mix.( i needed to add 1/2 cup more flour ,it was still a loose batter,but it makes cake like cookies ).
- fold in fruit and nuts.
- drop by teaspoonful.
- 2 inches apart.
- on buttered baking sheet.
- bake in moderate 350 degrees oven for 12 minutes.

- Mix together all the dry ingredients in a small bowl (including the dates and the chocolate). In a separate small bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking tray.
- Bake in the oven for 11 minutes and let the biscuits cool for 1 minute on the tray before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Gather the ingredients.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; whisk or stir to blend and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer , beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition, then add the vanilla and beat until smooth and blended.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix on the lowest speed just until blended, then fold in the chopped dates and pecans. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.

- Heat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.
