Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix
8 ounces sour cream
3/4 cup water
3 eggs

Steps:

STREUSEL.
Mix all in small bowl and set aside.
Coffee Cake.
Combine all ingredients, mix well, beat 2 minutes at high speed.
Spread 2/3 of batter in greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
Sprinkle half of streusel mixture over cake.
Add rest of batter and sprinkle with rest of streusel.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.

1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 8 ounces)
2/3 cup packed golden brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 large egg
1 1/3 cups mashed very ripe bananas (about 3 large)
3 tablespoons buttermilk

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Butter and flour 8x8x2-inch metal baking pan.
Stir chocolate chips, brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in small bowl until well blended; set streusel aside.
Sift all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into medium bowl.
Using electric mixer, beat sugar, room temperature butter, and egg in large bowl until fluffy.
Beat in mashed bananas and buttermilk.
Add dry ingredients and blend well.
Spread half of batter (about 2 cups) in prepared baking pan.
Sprinkle with half of streusel.
Repeat with remaining batter and streusel.
Bake coffee cake until tester inserted into center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
Cool coffee cake in pan on rack.

1 1/4 c semisweet chocolate chips
2/3 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
1 Tbsp cinnamon, ground
1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c unsalted butter, room temperature
1 egg
1 1/3 c bananas, mashed very ripe, 3 large
3 Tbsp buttermilk

Steps:

1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F. GREASE 8X8X2 INCH BAKING PAN.
2. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS, BROWN SUGAR, WALNUTS OR PECANS AND CINNAMON IN A SMALL BOWL UNTIL WELL BLENDED; SET ASIDE.
3. SIFT ALL FLOUR, BAKING SODA, SALT & BAKING POWDER AND SET ASIDE.
4. USING AN ELECTRIC MIXER, BEAT SUGAR, BUTTER AND EGG IN MIXING BOWL UNTIL FLUFFY. BEAT IN MASHED BANANAS AND BUTTERMILK. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND BLEND WELL.
5. SPREAD HALF THE BATTER IN PREPARED BAKING PAN. SPRINKLE WITH HALF OF STREUSEL MIX. REPEAT WITH REMAINING BATTER.
6. BAKE COFFEE CAKE UNTIL TESTER INSERTED COMES OUT CLEAN, ABOUT 45 MINUTES.

2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup half-and-half cream or 1 cup milk
4 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 1/2 cups sliced bananas
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup cold butter

Steps:

Set oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 13" x 9" baking pan.
Cream 3/4 cup butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
Stir in cream; mix well.
Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed batter; mixing well.
Then fold in sliced bananas.
Spread mixture into prepared baking pan.
FOR STREUSEL: Mix together brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter, until mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle on top of coffeecake.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until cake tests done.
