Steps:
- 1. FOR CROCK POT: start off by browning your meat until there is no longer any pink. Add onions, garlic and peppers and saute for a few more minutes.
- 2. Transfer to a crock pot then add all ingredients besides cheese and sour cream.
- 3. Cook on LOW 5-6 hours or until beans are thoroughly cooked.
- 4. FOR STOVE TOP: repeat step one only this time using a deep pot. Add all ingredients except sour cream and cheese.
- 5. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Garnish with sour cream and cheese!!

- Sweet Potato Chili. Want a way to add more vitamin A, vitamin C, fiber and potassium to your chili? Just throw in some sweet potatoes. As this recipe from Cooking Light explains, leaving the skin on the potatoes will make for a shorter prep, add some fiber and help the spuds keep their shape.
