●1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
●3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
●2 tablespoons water
●2 large eggs
●2 teaspoons vanilla extract
●1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
● 3/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
●1/2 teaspoon baking powder
●1/4 teaspoon salt
●3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
●Powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350º F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Combine granulated sugar, butter and water in large bowl. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 18 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars.

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup melted butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
⅓ cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line one 9x13 inch pan with greased parchment paper.
  • Combine the cocoa, melted butter, sugar, eggs, salt , flour and vanilla. Mix until well combined. It should be very thick and sticky.
  • Spread mixture into the prepared pan. Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

1 2/3 c granulated sugar
1 1/2 stick buttter or margarine, melted
2 Tbsp water
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 c all purpose flour
3/4 c baking cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c chopped nuts, optional

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT oven to 350*F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan. (I use a smaller pan to make the brownies a bit thicker)
  • 2. COMBINE sugar, butter and water in large bowl. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
  • 3. COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  • 4. BAKE for 18 - 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes approximately 2 dozen brownies

1/3 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
