Cut all of your 5 inch by 5 inch squares. (See materials needed for the number of squares that will be needed).
Cut all of your squares in half from corner to corner so that each square will produce 2 triangles.
Lay out all of your triangles into your desired chevron quilt pattern. I made a little info graphic for you to use for reference, so that you can visually see the pattern as you lay it out.
Start sewing your new squares together from your triangles. Start from the top and sew your triangles together to make squares. You should have 8 squares across.
