1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (toasted)
1 20 oz can premium cherry pie filling
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp pure almond extract
2 8 oz frozen whipped topping thawed
maraschino cherries for garnishing

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread chopped nuts in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Toast for 6-8 minutes, then cool completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, using a large spoon or spatula, mix together the cherry pie filling, drained pineapple, sweetened condensed milk and almond extract.
  • Fold in 1 container plus 1/2 of whipped topping and toasted nuts by hand. Reserve remaining 1/2 container whipped topping and 1 Tbsp toasted nuts for garnishing. Cover and chill for 4 hours.
  • Before serving garnish with reserved whipped topping, chopped nuts and maraschino cherries.

Cherry fluff is an easy, no-bake, whipped topping-based salad recipe with sweet cherries, pineapple, fluffy marshmallows, crunchy pecans, and creamy whipped topping

21 ounce can cherry pie filling
20 ounce can crushed pineapple (thoroughly drained)
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
8 ounce tub whipped topping ( thawed)
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp almond extract
2¾ cup mini marshmallows (divided (2 ½ cup and ¼ cup for garnish))
½ cup finely chopped pecans
4 maraschino cherries with stems attached ((optional garnish))

Steps:

  • Using a large mixing bowl, add the cherry pie filling and the drained crushed pineapple.
  • Using a small mixing bowl, stir together sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and almond extract.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk mixture over the cherry pie filling and the crushed pineapple.
  • Add the thawed whipped topping and stir to completely combine.
  • Fold in the 2 ½ cups mini-marshmallows and chopped pecans. Cover tightly and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Just before serving, evenly sprinkle the ¼ cup mini-marshmallows and the maraschino cherries.

2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
2 cups Rice Krispies (Kellogg's is best)
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
1/2 cup low-fat milk
1 (5 1/8 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
1 cup whipped cream or 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • In 2-quart saucepan, cook margarine, corn syrup and chocolate morsels over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and blended. Remove from heat. Add rice krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. With back of spoon, press cereal mixture evenly in bottom and up side of 9-inch pie pan coated with cooking spray. Chill.
  • Drain cherries, reserving liquid. Chop cherries. Set aside. Measure 1/2 cup cherry liquid, discarding remainder.
  • In large mixing bowl, combine cherry liquid, milk and pudding mix with wire whip, mixing until smooth and combined. Fold in cherries and whipped topping. Spread in chilled crust. Chill 3 hours or over night before serving. Garnish with chocolate curls, if desired.

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, cubed
6 tablespoons 2% milk
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries, well drained and finely chopped

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 3 minutes., Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and extracts until blended. Stir in oats and cherries. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until set. Store in airtight containers.
