CHEESY PULL-APART GARLIC BREAD

Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread image

Studded with melty cheese and herbs, this garlic bread couldn't be easier! I like to buy a crusty round loaf of bread right from the bakery section of my grocery store. Be careful not to cut all the way through the loaf-you don't want the cheese to ooze out the bottom and stick to the pan.

Provided by Kardea Brown

Categories     side-dish

Time 1h

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 small round loaf sourdough bread (7 ounces)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, plus for more garnish
1 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch kosher salt
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 ounces mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Score the bread with 2-inch-deep cuts with a serrated knife into a 1-inch diamond pattern without slicing all the way through. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the parsley, onion powder, salt and garlic. Brush the butter mixture all over the bread and into the cut diamonds using a pastry brush. Insert the cheese cubes in the crevices of the bread.
  • Cover the bread with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, 8 to 10 more minutes. Sprinkle with more fresh parsley. Serve hot!

ALMOST-FAMOUS STUFFED CHEESY BREAD

Almost-Famous Stuffed Cheesy Bread image

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 2h30m

Yield 2 loaves (8 breadsticks each)

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/4-ounce packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for brushing
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornmeal
1 1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (about 6 ounces)
1/2 cup shredded yellow cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)
1 tablespoon grated pecorino romano cheese
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Steps:

  • Make the dough: Whisk the sugar and 3/4 cup warm water (about 105 degrees F) in a bowl. Sprinkle the yeast on top and set aside until foamy, about 10 minutes. Stir in the vegetable oil. Whisk the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center, pour in the yeast mixture and stir with a wooden spoon to make a shaggy dough. Turn out onto a generously floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes, dusting with more flour as needed. Form into a ball. Brush a large bowl with vegetable oil; add the dough, turning to coat with the oil. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and set aside at room temperature until doubled in size, about 1 hour, 30 minutes.
  • Make the filling and topping: Toss 1/2 cup mozzarella, the cheddar, pecorino, garlic salt, granulated garlic and dried parsley in a bowl. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Put an inverted baking sheet in the oven; preheat for 10 minutes. Line another inverted baking sheet with parchment paper and sprinkle with the cornmeal. Cut the dough in half; transfer 1 piece to the parchment-lined baking sheet and stretch into an 8-inch square (keep the other piece of dough covered). Sprinkle 1 side of the square with 1/2 cup of the remaining mozzarella, then fold the dough in half to enclose the cheese, pressing to seal. Slice the dough crosswise at 1-inch intervals, stopping just before the folded edge. Sprinkle with half of the cheese-garlic mixture. Move the dough to 1 side of the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough, mozzarella and cheese-garlic mixture on the other side of the baking sheet. Slide the bread on the parchment onto the hot baking sheet in the oven. Bake until the dough is cooked through and the cheese is golden brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool slightly, then pull apart into breadsticks.

Provided by Katy Gilhooly

Time 45m

Yield Makes 20

Number Of Ingredients 9

50g light muscovado sugar
50g golden syrup
50g plain flour
50g glacé cherries, chopped
75g flaked almonds
50g pistachios, chopped
2 oranges, zested
175g dark chocolate

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 180C/160C/gas 4. Line two baking sheets with baking parchment.Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a small saucepan over a low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat and whisk in the flour then add the cherries, flaked almonds, pistachios and orange zest.

BAKED CHEESE BREAD FLOWER

Baked cheese bread flower image

This fabulous cheesy pull-apart sharing bread is perfect for the party season. No one can resist melty camembert and golden dough balls

Provided by Cassie Best

Time 1h25m

Number Of Ingredients 7

100g butter , softened
small bunch rosemary sprigs , leaves picked and chopped, plus extra sprigs to decorate
flour , for dusting
880g ready-made pizza dough , defrosted if necessary (we used The Northern Dough Co), or make your own
150g cranberry sauce
250g box camembert or chaource (or vegetarian alternative)
oil , for drizzling

Steps:

  • Mash the butter, rosemary and some seasoning in a bowl. On a lightly floured surface, cut the dough into four sections (it will already be divided if you're using ready-made pizza dough). One at a time, roll out each piece of dough to a thickness of about 4mm, keeping the pieces you're not using covered. Use a 7cm cutter to stamp out 30-36 circles.
  • Spread the rosemary butter over half the dough circles, then spread the cranberry sauce over the remaining rounds. Fold each circle in half and bring the two points together like a fortune cookie; these are the ower 'petals'.
  • Line a large baking tray with parchment. Put the cheese - in its box but with the lid removed - in the middle of the baking tray. Arrange a ring of dough petals around the box, alternating the rosemary butter and cranberry sauce fillings. Tuck the pointed ends neatly under the box. Arrange another ring of petals around the first, this time tucking the pointed ends under the row in front. Repeat with the remaining dough petals to create a neat ower pattern. Loosely cover the tray with oiled cling film and leave somewhere warm to prove for 30 mins, or until almost doubled in size. Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4.
  • Remove the cling film and slash the top of the cheese a few times. Poke in the rosemary sprigs, drizzle everything with a little oil and bake for 35-40 mins until golden brown. Leave to cool for 5 mins before serving.

CHEESY CHICKEN FLORENTINE CASSEROLE

Cheesy Chicken Florentine Casserole image

My boyfriend prefers to boil and shred the chicken, but I think the consistency is better when you get to cut into a piece of chicken, surrounded by cheese and a creamy spinach sauce. One of my absolute favorite meals.

Provided by Kaylee Sawyer

Categories     Chicken Casserole

Time 55m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 13

4 (4 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
½ cup unsalted butter
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
1 ½ pints heavy cream
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of broccoli soup
3 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano, or to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, or to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, or to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place chicken breasts on a parchment-line baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until just light pink, 15 to 20 minutes; they will not be fully cooked.
  • While the chicken is cooking, melt 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add heavy cream, condensed soup, oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Arrange spinach over the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish. Pour about 1 1/2 cups sauce over the spinach, then arrange chicken breasts over top. Cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Return to the oven and bake until bubbly and lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes.
