The classic recipe for The Bisquick™ Impossible Cheeseburger Pie! This ground beef and cheese pie is made with baking mix, milk and eggs for a fast and easy meal!

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2-3 slices thick cut bacon (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
parsley or green onions to top

Steps:

Spray a 9 inch pie plate with cooking spray then preheat your oven to 400 °F .
Place the ground beef, onion and bacon into a large skillet. Fry until the ground beef is browned, the onions are soft and translucent and the bacon is cooked. Drain the grease and place in the bottom of the prepared pie plate.
Sprinkle the cheese on top o the ground beef mixture in an even layer.
Whisk together the baking mix, the milk and the eggs until it's as smooth as you can get it ( there will be little lumps, don't worry about that.)
Pour over the cheese and ground beef evenly.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until a knife or toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove and cool slightly, then serve.

½ teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Steps:

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt. Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.
In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate.
Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

This is ridiculously easy and my kids love it. You can add other spices, or even tomatoes. You can also change the cheese to make it your own. I've varied it depending on what I am in the mood for and what I have on hand. I always use ground turkey; the original recipe called for ground beef.

1 cup onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup Bisquick (or jiffy)
1 cup milk
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

Heat over to 400 degrees and grease a 9" pie plate.
Cook turkey and onion til turkey is browned, drain well.
Spread in pie plate.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Stir remaining ingredients til blended and pour into pie plate.
Bake for 25 minutes.
