Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Butter a four-quart baking dish.
- At the bottom of the baking dish, arrange a layer of one-half the bread. Layer the American and Swiss cheese slices over it. Layer the remaining bread on top.
- Combine the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat.
- Pour the mixture over the bread and cheese and let it stand for one hour at room temperature. Bake for one hour. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

GRANDMA'S CHEESE PUDDING
Grandma's Cheese Pudding Recipe is a traditional British dish that is easy to make and will quickly become one of your family's favorites.

Steps:
- Bring the milk to the boil in a saucepan. Put the breadcrumbs into a bowl and pour the milk over. Stir in the cheese.
- In a bowl, lightly beat the eggs with the mustard and with the milk and breadcrumbs. Season.
- Butter a large, shallow 2.8 litre (5 pint) ovenproof dish well and pour in the cheese pudding mixture. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) mark 4 for about 45 minutes, until lightly set and golden.
- Serve with a mixed salad

DJ'S COTTAGE CHEESE PUDDING
This an old Amish Recipe that my Mother passed down to me. She made it often and it was enjoyed by all! It has a hint of lemon and almond flavor! It is usually baked in small (4") baking dishes, however, it can also be used for pie fillings. The flavors are more prevalent after a day or so of cooling. Hope you enjoy!

Steps:
- Allow cottage cheese to drain well!
- In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, flour, lemon juice, salt, eggs, evaporated milk, regular milk, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix well!
- Pour into 4" baking dishes. Makes 5.
- Preheat oven to 350 deg. Bake for 1 hour. Test with knife.
- Let cool! Then enjoy!
