Slow Cooker Beef Stew I image

A hearty, savory slow cooker stew with potatoes, carrots, celery, broth, herbs and spices. You won't be slow to say 'yum'!

2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 ½ cups beef broth
3 potatoes, diced
4 carrots, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped

Steps:

  • Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.
  • Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.

2 lbs Beef stew meat
1 Bag sliced carrots
½ Bag chopped onions
½ Bag Gemstone medley blend potatoes cut in half or quarters
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
10 oz Can of V8
1 ½ cups Beef Broth
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp Beef base
½ tsp salt
½ tsp Black cracked pepper
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 Bay leaf
¼ cup Ap flour

Steps:

  • 1.Set the crock pot on low. In a bowl, mix together the salt, pepper and flour. Add the cubed beef and coat it in this mixture.
  • 2.Once the beef is entirely covered, empty the entire bowl into the crock pot. Add in the rest of the ingredients, cover and cook on either low for 10-11 hours or high for 4 to 6 hours.

1-2 lb stew meat
Meat tenderizer
3/4 cup flour
2 cans Swanson's Beef Broth, divided
1-2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbsp chopped garlic
3 tsp salt and pepper
1 cup finely chopped onion
5-8 potatoes, skinned and cut in big bite size pieces
1/2 small bag baby carrots
1 stalk celery, chopped small tiny size
1 cup water
2 tsp or more Banquet Sauce
3 bay leaves

Steps:

  • Turn LARGE Crock-pot on LOW. Sprinkle stew meat with meat tenderizer, for 5-10 minutes. Put flour in Large Ziploc baggie. Place meat into baggie, shake well and cover meat well with flour.
  • Put meat into bottom of crock-pot. Pour 1 can of beef broth into small mixing bowl adding Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir until blended. Add broth to crock-pot and stir around meat. Add onion, potatoes, carrots, celery to crock-pot. Add other can of beef broth and 1 cup of water. Stir well. Add Banquet sauce, stir well. Put bay leaves into stew.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 10 hours or LOW for 3 hours and HIGH for 4 hours for faster cooking. Serve with breadsticks or crackers.
