This is a copycat recipe that comes close to the taste of Bull's Eye Original Barbecue Sauce. It's sweet and spicy. This is the only barbecue sauce that I use now.

1 cup Heinz ketchup
6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
3 tablespoons yellow onions, finely minced
4 teaspoons hickory liquid smoke
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon table salt

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a 2-qt sauce pan. Mix well.
  • Simmer over very low heat for 15-minutes, stirring occasionally.

3 lb. pork baby back ribs
1 Tbsp. MAXWELL HOUSE Ground Coffee
1/2 cup BULL'S-EYE Memphis Style Barbecue Sauce

Steps:

  • Place each rack of ribs on separate large sheet heavy-duty foil; rub with coffee grounds. Wrap ribs in foil. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Heat charcoal grill to medium heat. Arrange coals evenly on each side of charcoal grate. Place wrapped ribs on center of grate; cover with lid. Grill 2 hours.
  • Remove ribs from foil; discard foil. Place ribs, meat-sides down, on grill grate; brush with 1/4 cup sauce. Grill 10 min., turning after 5 min. and brushing with remaining barbecue sauce.

10 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 can (28 oz.) baked beans
1 can (16 oz.) butter beans, rinsed
1 can (15.5 oz.) great Northern beans, rinsed
1 cup BULL'S-EYE Sweet & Tangy Barbecue Sauce

Steps:

  • Cook and stir bacon and onions in medium saucepan on medium heat until bacon is crisp, stirring frequently; drain.
  • Return bacon mixture to saucepan. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cook 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

3/4 c light corn syrup
1/2 c tomato paste
2/3 c vinegar
1/3 c dark brown sugar
3 T molasses
1 1/4 t liquid smoke
1 t salt
1/4 t onion powder
1/4 t black pepper, Ground
1/4 t mustard, Ground
1/8 t paprika
1/8 t garlic powder
dash cayenne

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat and whisk until smooth. 2. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes or until thick. 3. After the sauce cools you can use it immediately, but it's best to store it in a covered container in the refrigerator overnight where the flavour improves.

1 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • 1. We started this recipe years ago with our regular go-to family barbecue sauce recipe. Since then, we have added a little more to it to become our version of a recipe clone for Bulls Eye Barbecue Sauce. We think it tastes just like it. Use on Chicken, Pork or Beef. Excellent on a rack of ribs.
  • 2. Combine all ingredients together in a pint jar. Mix well. Store barbecue sauce in the refrigerator. If you are using it as a dipping sauce, let it sit awhile to blend flavors. There are no preservatives, so plan to use the sauce within three days. enjoy!

1 cup water
3/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup tomato paste
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
1 teaspoon pickling salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2/3 cup white vinegar
1 1/4 teaspoons hickory liquid smoke

Steps:

  • In a large pot, combine water, corn syrup, tomato paste, brown sugar, molasses, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, ground mustard, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until combined and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
  • Add vinegar, stir to mix and return to a simmer. Cook uncovered for another 15-20 minutes or until thick. Stir frequently to avoid burning.
  • Add liquid smoke and whisk to combine thoroughly.
  • Ladle hot mixture into hot, sterilized, sealable bottles and seal. Allow bottles to cool.
  • Store in cupboard. Keeps 24 months or more.
  • Refridgerate after opening.
  • Remember to follow the instructions. Timing of added ingredients does make a difference.
  • Single batch makes 500ml.
