- In bread machine pan, place the first eight ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. , Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed)., Just before the final kneading (your machine may audibly signal this), add the raisins.

RAISIN BRAN BREAD
Easy & delicious idea for a last minute breakfast potluck or holiday gift. It looks beautiful, too. I'm not sure where this recipe came from, but it could have originally been from a cereal box. Post Raisin Bran has the biggest flakes, which makes it look especially pretty for presentation, but any raisin bran cereal will do....

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray cooking spray in 9 x 5 loaf pan.
- 2. Melt 2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine in a medium microwave-safe bowl. (I love my large PC Batter Bowl for this!) Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the cereal and milk until blended. Let stand 1 minute.
- 3. Add egg and 3/4 cup sugar, mixing well with a large spoon.
- 4. Stir in flour, baking powder, and cinnamon until well-blended.
- 5. Mix in the chopped walnuts, if desired.
- 6. Spread into prepared loaf pan.
- 7. FOR THE TOPPING: Melt the remaining 2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine in a small microwave-safe bowl. (I use my small PC Batter Bowl for this.) Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup cereal and 1 Tablespoon sugar until well-blended. Sprinkle over batter.
- 8. Gently press topping and walnut halves into the batter.
- 9. Bake 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan on wire rack, then remove bread from pan and cool completely...
- 10. ...OR serve warm with butter or cream cheese. =^..^=
- 11. OPTION: In place of cinnamon, add 1 tsp. vanilla extract with the milk in Step #2.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Grease bottom only of a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
- TOPPING--------.
- In a small bowl, combine oatmeal, brown sugar, and butter mixing till crumbly; set aside.
- BATTER---------.
- In a large bowl mix together flour, oatmeal, bran cereal, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Stir in milk, eggs, and oil; mixing just to moisten.
- Fold in raisins.
- Spoon into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle evenly with topping.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool on rack 10 minutes.
- Remove from pan.
- Cool completely.

- Pre-heat oven to 350 deg F.
- Mix 1 ½ cups of Raisin Brand, Milk, 2 tablespoons of the Margarine in bowl.
- Add Egg and ¾ cup Sugar, mix well.
- Stir in Flour, Baking Powder and Cinnamon.
- Mix till well blended.
- Put in sprayed 9X5 loaf pan.
- Mix remaining ½ cup of cereal, 2 tablespoons Margarine and 1 Tablespoon Sugar.
- When well blended sprinkle over batter and press into the batter.
- Bake 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Combine raisin bran cereal, milk, applesauce, eggs and vanilla. Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Stir to break up cereal. Stir in apples and walnuts.

- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/3 cups flour, wheat bran, wheat germ, brown sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt. Heat water, milk, and butter until very warm (120* to 130*F). Gradually add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in raisins and enough remaining flour(use oat flour first) to make a soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
- Divide dough in half; roll each to 12 x 7-inch rectangle. Beginning at short end, roll up tightly as for jelly roll. Pinch seam and ends to seal. Place, seam sides down, in 2 greased 8-1 / 2 x 4-1 / 2-inch loaf pans. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Bake at 375*F for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.

EVERYBODY'S RAISIN BRAN BREAD
I did a google search and found this recipe prefaced with a lot of different names. Since all of the recipes were identical I thought I would give it a try to deplete my large supply of raisin bran cereal. It made a small loaf but turned out quite yummy! Enjoy!
