HEALING BLUEBERRY ALOE SMOOTHIE
There aren't very many things better than this when it comes to helping our your body. Plus, it's yummy. And if it's too "fruity" for you, you can always add a scoop of non-fat frogurt to make it thick and creamy, I suppose :) To harvest the aloe vera gel, use a knife to filet away all of the green skin and any of the red veins along the inside. Then just toss it in the blender. I also usually add a teaspoon of lemon-flavored fish oil for Omega-3's, but this is not necessary. Aloe vera is known to cure ulcers, Crohn's, fight cancer and disease and do so many wonderful things!

Steps:
- In a large pot, melt butter over moderately low heat.
- Add onion, celery and carrots. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables begin to soften, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in ginger, cinnamon, salt, pepper and lentils. Add water and tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, stirring occasionally, until lentils are tender, 25-30 minutes.
- Add chickpeas and simmer 5 minutes longer. Stir in cilantro and voila!
