4 OSCAR MAYER Wieners
4 hot dog sandwich rolls, partially split
1/4 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
2 Tbsp. chopped onions
1/4 cup KRAFT Ranch with Bacon Dressing

Steps:

Heat grill to medium heat.
Grill wieners 7 to 9 min. or until heated through, turning occasionally.
Fill rolls with wieners.
Top with remaining ingredients.

Wanting a new twist on hot dogs, I decided to have a little fun and combine two summertime favorites.

Ingredients

1 small tomato, seeded and chopped
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
3 tablespoons diced dill pickles
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sour cream
4 hot dogs
4 hot dog buns
2 lettuce leaves, thinly sliced, or as desired
1 green onion top, thinly sliced, or as desired

Steps:

Mix tomato, bacon, pickles, mayonnaise, and sour cream together in a bowl; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for flavors to blend, about 4 hours.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook hot dogs until warmed through, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain.
Place a hot dog in each bun and top each with tomato-bacon mixture. Garnish each with lettuce and green onion.

This recipe is from Kraft's website. The recipe orginally was supposed to use Kraft's Cheese dogs but you can use whatever type of hot dog you'd like. The amount of ranch dressing is an estimate. I always buy a bottle and use more. I even have been known to throw in some cucumber every now and then.

6 hot dogs
6 hot dog buns, partially split, toasted lightly
1/4 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup tomatoes, chopped (I use any tomato sold "on the vine")
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/2 cup buttermilk ranch dressing
1/4 cup bacon, cooked drained and crumbled

Steps:

Grill the hot dogs until they are heated through, turning occasionally.
Assemble The hot dog starting with the toasted bun and adding the shredded Lettuce.
Next add the onions and tomatoes.
Place the hot dog on top of the onions and tomatoes.
Drizzle with 1 Tablespoon of the ranch dressing and top with crumbled bacon.

One night I was watching "Throwdown With Bobby Flay" and he was challenging "Pink's" which is a hot dog stand in Hollywood Ca. I was inspired to make my own "gourmet" hot dog. Loving BLT's as much as I do, this recipe is the end result of that inspiration. Now this will make 8 servings if you have side dishes,or 4 servings with 2 "dogs" each. For sides I would suggest your favorite recipes for baked beans, slaw, or potato salad. Submitted to "Zaar" on May 20th,2007.

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) package jumbo hot dogs (8 dogs in package)
10 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
8 hot dog buns, split (toasted optional)
8 teaspoons mayonnaise, divided
1 cup tomatoes, diced
iceberg lettuce, shredded

Steps:

Cook hot dogs your way; broiled, fried, or grilled.
On each split plain or toasted bun, spread one teaspoon mayonnaise (can use more if desired).
Add desired amount of lettuce, place dog in middle.
Sprinkle a little diced tomato and bacon on each side of dog.
Eat and enjoy!
