This banana walnut smoothie will keep you full in the morning and is a great on-the-go breakfast drink that happens to be paleo and vegan!

2 bananas
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
2 tablespoons cashew butter
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
2 cups water, or as needed

Steps:

  • Combine bananas, pineapple, cashew butter, and walnuts in a blender. Add water and blend until smooth, adding more water for a thinner smoothie.

1 1/2 cups ice
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup coconut water
3 tablespoons walnut pieces
2 dried dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
1/2 medium banana, peeled

Steps:

  • Combine the ice, almond milk, coconut water, walnuts, dates and banana in the blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

1 medium banana, peeled sliced and frozen
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine milk, banana, vanilla and almond extract.
  • Blend until smooth, about 20 seconds.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.
  • *Wrapsliced banana in plastic wrap or place in a freezer storage bag.
  • Freeze several hours or overnight.

I created this shake as its fast, healthy and keeps me full for hours. I don't have time for a traditional breakfast so I make this in the mornings. The walnuts give it a nice thick consistency and the fats in nuts are very good for us. I enjoy making it every morning. I love that it tastes like a banana milkshake, without the empty calories!!!
