SOFT BEER PRETZEL NUGGETS
What goes together better than beer and pretzels? Not much that I can think of. That's why I put them together into one recipe. I'm always looking for new ways to combine fun flavors. I love the way this recipe turned out! -Alyssa Wilhite, Whitehouse, Texas

Steps:
- In a small saucepan, heat beer to 110°-115°; remove from heat. Stir in yeast until dissolved. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, salt, yeast mixture and 3 cups flour; beat on medium speed until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., Preheat oven to 425°. Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide and shape into 8 balls. Roll each into a 12-in. rope. Cut each rope into 1-in. pieces., In a Dutch oven, bring 10 cups water and baking soda to a boil. Drop nuggets, 12 at a time, into boiling water. Cook for 30 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain well on paper towels., Place on greased baking sheets. In a small bowl, whisk egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water; brush over pretzels. Sprinkle with coarse salt if desired. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to a wire rack to cool. Freeze option: Freeze cooled pretzel nuggets in airtight containers. To use, thaw at room temperature or, if desired, microwave on high 20-30 seconds or until heated through.

APRIL FOOLS' SUSHI: RICE KRISPIES NUGGETS
Steps:
- Looks like: Sushi
- Make a batch of Rice Krispies Treats; shape into small oval mounds while still warm. Top with a dab of pistachio paste, then cover with whole or minced red and orange gummy candy (such as Chuckles or Sunkist Fruit Slices). Wrap with a strip of green fruit leather, if desired. To make a sushi roll, flatten a warm Rice Krispies Treat mound into a thin rectangle on a piece of fruit leather and arrange gumdrops down the center. Roll into a cylinder and slice into pieces. Serve the sushi with wasabi, ginger, and chocolate syrup as soy sauce. Cut a sour-candy belt to look like a grass garnish.

- Soak 2 tablespoons shredded coconut in 1/2 cup water with 1 drop each of yellow and red food coloring.

- Pulse 2 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios, 1/4 cup cream cheese and 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar in a food processor.
CRUNCHY CHICKEN NUGGETS
Steps:
- In shallow dish combine egg whites and water. On large sheet of wax paper combine KELLOGG'S® RICE KRISPIES® cereal, paprika, seasoned salt, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Cut chicken into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Dip chicken pieces into egg white mixture, coating all sides. Roll in cereal mixture. Place in single layer on ungreased baking sheet. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 450 degrees F about 12 minutes or until no longer pink in center.
- Serve warm with salad dressing as dipping sauce.
- This recipe makes 4 main dish servings or 8 appetizer servings.
FRIED ALLIGATOR NUGGETS
Steps:
- Fill a deep pot halfway full with oil. Heat to 360 degrees F. Coat the alligator meat with the fish batter. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until gator floats in oil. Remove and add salt and pepper to taste. Serve as an appetizer with remoulade sauce, mustard sauce, or cocktail sauce for dipping.
CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT PRETZEL NUGGETS
Steps:
- Combine the pretzel nuggets and chocolate syrup in a bowl and toss until the pretzels are fully coated. Stir in the chopped peanuts to coat. Transfer to a serving bowl.
PRETZEL-COATED CHICKEN NUGGETS

- Preheat oven to 425°. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk. Place pretzels and flour in separate shallow bowls. Dip chicken in flour to coat all sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg mixture, then in pretzels, patting to help coating adhere., Place chicken on foil-lined baking sheets; spritz with cooking spray. Bake 12-15 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. In a small bowl, mix mustard and honey. Serve with chicken.

- Mix balsamic vinegar with brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until glaze is reduced by half, about 20 minutes. Glaze should coat the back of a spoon. Let cool and pour into a jar with a lid; store in refrigerator.
