These Cheez-it Chicken Tenders come out perfectly crispy every time!

10-12 chicken tenders, about 3 pounds
2/3 cup Mayo*
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups crushed Cheese Nips or Cheez-Its
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2/3 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Italian seasonings
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
non stick cooking spray
Ranch dressing, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Crush Crackers by placing them in a Ziplock bag and rolling over the bag with a rolling pin or by placing them in a food processor for 1-2 minutes (be careful not to over processor them).
  • Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and then add the melted butter in and mix well.
  • Rinse and pat the tenders dry
  • Spray a wire cooling rack with nonstick spray and place on a cookie sheet
  • Brush the mayo on the chicken tenders, be sure to coat both side evenly, then place the chicken in the Cheese crumbs mixture and press firmly to make sure the coating sticks.
  • Put chicken tenders on a wire cooling rack This helps the heat to circulate all the way around the chicken to ensure crispness.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden in color and juices run clear
  • **you can substitute mayo for sour cream or greek yogurt

Chicken Tenders:
3 cups cheese crackers, such as Cheez-Its, ground into crumbs
1 cup finely grated Parmesan
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pound chicken tenders (7 to 8 tenders)
Dijon Sauce:
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
Dash cayenne pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with foil, then place a wire rack on top. For the chicken tenders: Mix the cracker crumbs and Parmesan together in a large bowl. In a shallow dish, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, cider vinegar and some salt and pepper. Sprinkle the chicken tenders with a little salt and pepper and then place them, one by one, in the mayonnaise mixture. Scrape off excess mayonnaise and then roll the tenders in the crumb mixture to coat. As you go, place the coated tenders on the wire rack. Bake until cooked through and golden brown, 25 minutes. Let cool on the rack for 5 minutes. For the Dijon sauce: Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mustard, mayonnaise, honey, cayenne and some salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and lump free. vegetable cooking spray (such as I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!®)
1 egg, beaten
1 ¼ cups panko bread crumbs
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 skinless, boneless chicken tenders, cut into 1/2-inch strips lengthwise

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place egg in a shallow dish. Place bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper into a large zip-top freezer bag and mix well. Dip 2 chicken strips into egg and then place into bread crumb mixture and shake to coat. Place coated chicken pieces onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Spray each chicken tender with cooking spray 2 times.
  • Bake tenders in the preheated oven for 7 minutes; flip, continue to bake on opposite side until no longer pink in the centers, about 7 minutes more. Remove from the oven.
  • Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
  • Broil tenders in the preheated oven for extra crunch, about 2 minutes more.

I came up with this recipe when I realized I was outta breadcrumbs. Looking in my pantry I came across cheez-its and they were a hit!!

2 lb chicken tenders pounded out
1 1/2 c buttermilk
1 whisked egg
few dashes hot sauce
1-2 c crushed cheeze-its
olive oil
1/4 tsp dried dill

Steps:

  • 1. First pound down chicken tenders. S&P Mix butter milk egg and dash of hot pepper sauce (franks) Add chicken to milk bath and refridgerate for 1 hour
  • 2. Meanwhile in food processer crush fine cheez-its with 1/4tsp dried dill. Put on large platter. Drain chicken one by one evenly coat and press cheeze-its.
  • 3. In 425 degree preheated oven. Place chicken on large baking sheet, drizzle w/olive oil. Bake 7mins flip and bake another 7-9min til golden brown. Serve with dipping sauce of choice. Dill dip fantastic or ranch.

This came out of a cookbook I bought for my daughter... but I have to admit that I really like it too! It's a great recipe for your kids to help you make, and they think it's so cool to cook with Cheez-it's!

3 cups Cheez-It crackers (or similar, small cheddar flavored crackers)
2 eggs
1/4 cup water
nonstick cooking spray (such as Pam)
1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless skinless breasts, cut into strips)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil (or silpat if you have it).
  • Place the Cheez-it's in a zip-lock baggie and give it to your kid to play catch, touch football, whatever. Smack the back a few times with a rolling pin... get the cheese-it's crushed, but don't worry if there are some larger pieces. Pour into a shallow bowl or plate.
  • Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the water. Whisk together until combined well. (something else your child can do!).
  • Dip the chicken in the egg mixture, then roll around in the crushed Cheez-it's (kids love this part!)
  • Place on the cookie sheet, continue until all the chicken is coated.
  • Lightly spray all coated chicken with the cooking spray.
  • Bake at 350°F about 15 -20 minutes (start checking the smaller ones after 10 minutes. I always pull them out as they get cooked through so that the smallest isn't incinerated by the time the largest piece is done cooking).

I didn't see anything like this on here so I thought I would post it on here so everyone could try this delicious recipe. I usually serve this with corn, cheesy potatoes and a biscuit. Yum! Yum! You can also try this recipe with any of the other varieties of the Cheez-its, the cheddar jack and the spicy ones are also really good too. So try them out! :)

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup sour cream

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease an oven safe dish that the chicken will fit inches.
  • Rinse your chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towel.Very important that you dry the chicken breasts before preparing them, if the chicken isn't dry the seasonings will not stick and neither will the sour cream mixture. This is my husband's favorite meal for me to cook. The chicken is so moist and flavorful. The more seasonings you use the better it tastes. Mayo may cause some areas to be a little mushy but it still tastes amazing!

2 cups cheese flavored crackers (such as Cheez-It®), crushed
1 cup French-fried onions, crushed
½ cup Italian bread crumbs
2 teaspoons sesame seed, toasted
salt and ground black pepper to taste
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut in half
3 tablespoons mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Mix cheese-flavored crackers, French-fried onions, Italian bread crumbs, sesame seeds, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Wash and pat chicken breasts dry. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each piece and place mayonnaise-side down in the cracker mixture.
