1/2 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 prebaked 12-inch pizza crust
1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
20 dill pickle slices
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon pizza or Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain and set aside., Place crust on an ungreased 12-in. pizza pan. Spread with pizza sauce. Top with beef mixture, bacon, pickles and cheeses. Sprinkle with pizza seasoning. Bake at 450° for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 medium bell pepper, cut into bite-size strips

1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chunky pizza sauce
3 Italian plum tomatoes
6 slices cheddar cheese
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 slices bacon, crisp cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In large saucepan, brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper; drain. Stir in 6 slices crumbled bacon and pizza sauce. Spoon into ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with tomatoes; top with cheese slices.
  • In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add milk and oil; mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour and salt; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour evenly over cheese slices. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes or until topping is slightly puffed and deep golden brown.

This takes a little more effort than the average cheeseburger, but is well worth it! Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

1 pound sliced bacon, diced
5 pounds ground beef chuck
1 large onion, chopped
¼ cup steak sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound American cheese slices

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for high heat.
  • Place bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry, stirring occasionally. When the bacon is almost done, add the onion. Cook until the bacon is crisp, and the onion is tender. Remove onion and bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon, and transfer to a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to chop finely. Do not puree. Pour into a large bowl, and mix with steak sauce and ground chuck using your hands. Form into 16 patties.
  • Place patties on the grill, and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Place a slice of cheese on top of each one during the last minute.

The secret to this delicious pizza is to pre-bake your crust firstly and brown your beef well, then top as stated in directions and bake just to heat through and until the cheese has melted. This is a hearty pizza that can be made using store-bought refrigerated pizza dough or homemade, just make certain to pre-bake the crust before topping. This can also be made using a store-bought Boboli pizza crust. The success of this recipe will also depend on your pizza sauce, I use my recipe#65641 it is a hearty full-flavored pizza sauce that works well for this recipe and of coarse any pizza! You can add in some green bell peppers and jalapeno peppers to the ground beef mixture also if desired. The ingredient amounts are enough for one 12-inch pizza, you can double the complete recipe to make two if desired.

1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic

Steps:

  • Pre-bake the pizza crust in a 400 degrees oven until golden brown and baked.

  • Top the cusrt with the cooked ground beef mixture, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese, then mozzeralla cheese.
  • Top with cooked crumbled bacon.
  • Bake 400 degrees for 8-12 minutes.
