SAUSAGE SUPPER DISH
I love this casserole! Although it's called a supper dish, it works beautifully for breakfast, too. It freezes well and you can get a head start by using leftover rice.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9x9 casserole dish.
- In a small bowl, combine crumbs and butter. Press half of mixture into bottom of dish.
- Brown sausage in a skillet. Drain fat and layer over crumb crst. Spoon rice over sausage.
- In small saucepan over medium heat, stir milk and soup until warm (not boiling!). Stir in egs and cheese and cook until cheese is melted. Pour into dish. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake for 45 minutes.

- In a small, bowl, combine the sage, salt, ground black pepper, marjoram, brown sugar, crushed red pepper and cloves. Mix well.
- Place the pork in a large bowl and add the mixed spices to it. Mix well with your hands and form into patties.
- Saute the patties in a large skillet over medium high heat for 5 minutes per side, or until internal pork temperature reaches 160 degrees F (73 degrees C).

- Cook vermicelli to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; rinse with hot water. Return to saucepan. Stir in 1 tablespoon of the margarine. Cover to keep warm.
- Meanwhile, melt remaining 3 tablespoons margarine in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms and broccoli; cook about 5 minutes or until broccoli is thawed, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add sausage, oregano and garlic powder; mix well. Cook about 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
- Place warm vermicelli on serving platter. Top with sausage and vegetable mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Place the ground beef in a large bowl; mix the spice blend into the ground beef with your hands until evenly integrated. Refrigerate for 24 hours to let the flavors blend.
