3/4 cup freshly squeezed tangerine juice
Champagne, sparkling wine or Cava, cold, to top

Steps:

  • Place Champagne flute in the freezer 10 minutes before serving. Put the gin and juice in a flute and top with some of the Champagne.

2 ounces gin, preferably Plymouth
1 egg white
2 ounces seltzer

Steps:

  • Dump two or three handfuls of cracked or shaved ice into a cocktail shaker and add everything but the seltzer. Shake energetically for a minute or more, then strain into a 6- to 8-ounce highball glass. Add seltzer and stir gently.

2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce​ lemon juice (fresh; or lime juice)
3/4 ounce simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
Optional: 1​ egg white
2 ounces soda water (or enough to fill)
Garnish:​ lemon peel

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Pour the gin, lemon or lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously , about 15 seconds if using the egg white, to ensure it is mixed thoroughly with the other ingredients. For an extra-frothy drink, discard the ice and dry shake for a few more seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled highball glass over fresh ice cubes.
  • Top with soda and garnish with a lemon or lime peel. Serve and enjoy.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 tsp apple cider vinegar
sparkling water , to top up
1 sliced pear
4 dried apricots
75g golden caster sugar
25g honey
1 sprig rosemary , plus extra to garnish (optional)
1 strip lemon zest

Steps:

  • To make the base syrup, put the sliced pear, dried apricots, golden caster sugar, honey, sprig of rosemary and a strip of lemon zest in a saucepan with 100ml water. Heat for 10 mins or until the sugar has dissolved and the pear is very soft, then leave to cool completely.
  • Strain the syrup into a jug, add the apple cider vinegar and chill in the fridge for at least 30 mins. Pour about 25ml of the syrup into a champagne flute and top with cold sparkling water. Garnish with a rosemary sprig, if you like.

sparkling water
lemon slice

Steps:

  • Pour the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker and fill up with ice cubes. Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels cold then strain into a tall glass filled with more ice and top up with sparkling water. Garnish with a lemon slice.

1 (16 ounce) package Ziti pasta (or Penne pasta)
1 onion (chopped)
1 pound lean ground beef
pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
onion powder, to taste
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce (feel free to add any veggies to this sauce)
8 slices Provolone cheese
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook until Al Dente, about 7-8 minutes; drain.
  • In a large skillet, add onion, ground beef, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and minced garlic over medium heat. Cook and then drain grease.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 (8 x 8 inch) pans with non-stick cooking spray. Layer as follows in each pan: 1/4 of the pasta, 1/4 of the sauce, 4 slices of Provolone cheese, 1/2 of sour cream, 1/4 of pasta, 1/4 mozzarella cheese and 1/4 of sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake covered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.

RHUBARB FIZZ

Use bright-pink stemmed rhubarb to achieve the gorgeous blush colour in this rhubarb fizz cocktail, made with a blend of sparkling wine and gin

25ml gin
ice
75ml sparkling wine
thin strip of rhubarb, to garnish (optional)
75g golden caster sugar
½ lemon, zested and juiced
100g rhubarb, chopped
1 slice of peeled ginger

Steps:

  • First, make the cordial. Tip the sugar and 75ml water into a saucepan set over a medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then add the lemon zest and juice, rhubarb and ginger. Cook until the rhubarb starts to break down and collapse, about 5-10 mins. Pour into a heatproof jug through a fine mesh sieve and set aside to cool. (You will make enough cordial for two drinks.)
  • Pour the gin into an ice-filled coupe glass, then stir in 50ml of the cordial. Top up with sparkling wine. Twist the strip of rhubarb around a finger to curl, if using, then drop into the drink to garnish.
