VEGAN CHOCOLATE FONDUE

This vegan chocolate fondue is rich, decadent and delightfully dairy-free! The perfect dessert for a date night, party or just as a quick and easy treat.

240 g vegan dark chocolate (chopped, chips or buttons)
120 ml oat milk
30 ml maple syrup
15 g vegan butter

Steps:

  • Set up a 'double boiler': Bring a small sauce pan of water to a boil. Turn down the heat to a low simmer and place a heatproof bowl on top of the pan.TIP: The water level in the pan should be low enough so the bowl on top does not make contact with the boiling water.
  • Place the chocolate, oat milk, maple syrup and vegan butter in the bowl.
  • Stir regularly while the chocolate and vegan butter are melting and combining with the oat milk and syrup into a smooth, thick and glossy chocolate fondue.
  • If the mixture is too thick for your taste or if you notice some oil separating, stir in a small amount of extra oat milk.
  • Transfer to a fondue set or small individual dishes for serving. Serve warm with your dippers of choice.

Our chocolate fondue is so rich, no one will even suspect that it's vegan. Use fruit, vegan pound cake or bread for dipping.

1/4 cup vegan margarine
8 ounces vegan chocolate chips (or dark chocolate)
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons soy milk
1/4 cup Kahlua or other flavored liqueur (optional)

Steps:

  • Melt vegan margarine, vegan chocolate , and soy milk together in a saucepan over very low heat, or use a double-boiler to ensure the chocolate doesn't burn.
  • Once melted, remove from heat, add the rest of the ingredients, combine well and transfer to ​a fondue pot to keep warm. Serve with fresh fruit, pound cake, or sweet bread.

This is a simple, rich vegan chocolate sauce from veganrecipes-idahovegan.blogspot.com. You can add extra soy milk to thin the fondue if you want to. You would probably need to do this if you wanted to use it in a chocolate fountain. The fondue is the consistency of a stiff frosting at room temperature.

12 ounces semisweet vegan chocolate chips
3/4 cup soymilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Steps:

  • Combine the chocolate chips, soy milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract in a slow cooker.
  • Turn the cooker on "high" and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chips are completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Serve in a fondue pot, or in the slow cooker set on "low", with assorted bite size food for dipping (strawberries, bananas, pineapple, pretzels, cookies, brownies, etc.).
