Beef or Chicken Marinade image

This dark, rich marinade can be used with any type of beef or chicken. If you want it spicy, mix in the chopped hot peppers of your choice. Yummy!

¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
¾ cup vegetable oil
2 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, distilled white vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, vegetable oil, green onions and black pepper. Place desired meat in marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 4 hours before grilling.

½ cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Easy Meat Marinade for Beef, Chicken or Pork image

This is a marinade that is never the same. So if you like having different flavors all the time, then this is the recipe for you. Very easy and fast to make. You also get to taste every step! This marinade works on just about any type of beef, chicken or pork. I have not tried it on fish.

1 -2 cup sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
2 teaspoons garlic salt (to taste)
2 teaspoons onion salt (to taste)
3 tablespoons onion flakes (to taste)
2 teaspoons Lawrys seasoned garlic salt (to taste)
2 tablespoons mesquite liquid smoke (to taste)
2 tablespoons hickory liquid smoke (to taste)
2 tablespoons liquid smoke (to taste)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
1 cup red wine
2 tablespoons lemon juice (to taste)
2 tablespoons lime juice (to taste)
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, if you want it hotter add more
1 tablespoon honey, if you want it sweeter add more

Steps:

  • Start with some BBQ sauce as the base.
  • Add all ingredients as you would like, taste along the way. That is the fun part.
  • When you have the right marinade for you, place meat in 9x13 pan and marinate.
  • Marinate meat as long as you like depending on the type of meat you are using.
  • I cook my meat in the same pan with the marinade. Usually on the grill. But can be done in the oven as well.
  • Doing this makes the meat very flavorful and extremely tender.

This recipe comes from my Uncle Tommy. He used this recipe to marinate chicken kabobs and served them over yellow rice. One tip he gave me was to put a little of the marinade in a dish with the onion halves and microwave for a minute or two. It softend them up before putting on the skewers with the rest of the meat and veggies.

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1/3 cup oil

Steps:

  • Mix the first 11 ingredients. Whisk in the oil.
  • Marinate meat for several hours.
  • Grill meat in the manner you desire.

This recipe came from our church cookbook. I like this recipe because I can use either chicken or beef. I have tried both and I like the chicken the best. You can leave out the crushed red pepper which is what I do if you don't like your food spicy.

1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 lbs beef or 1 1/2 lbs chicken
3 -4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup sliced green pepper
8 flour tortillas
2 avocados, peeled and sliced
salsa
sour cream

Steps:

  • Combine the first 7 ingredients to make marinade.
  • Slice Chicken or beef into strips.
  • Add to marinade and marinate for 2 hours.
  • Quickly saute onions and peppers in oil until lightly browned.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Saute marinated meat about 4 minutes.
  • Toss with vegetables.
  • Spoon into flour tortillas.
  • Serve with avocado slices and sour cream.

Around the World Marinade for Beef or Chicken image

I wanted to develop a marinade that was different than what we had been using. I introduced my DH to Tandoori and he loves it. He also loves Asian and Mexican food, so 'Voila'. We used a skirt steak the first time and when there should have been seconds there were none. He wants to try it on chicken next week. Time is for prep time of marinade and minimum marinade time. Cook times will vary with meat selection.

1/2 cup oil (olive or canola)
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced dried onion
2 garlic cloves
1/8 cup lime juice
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 cup tandoori paste
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar (Mexican brown sugar)

Steps:

  • In a food processer or blender, put in oil, soy sauce, onion, garlic, lime and lemon juices, cayenne, tandoori paste, and sugar and puree. In a gallon size zip top bag, put pieces of selected meat and pour in marinade. Seal bag, removing as much air as possible. Allow steak to marinate for at least 1 hour in refrigerator.
  • Then grill or broil selected meat to doneness.
