1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 to 6 tablespoons water
4 drops, Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, 4 tablespoons of water, Tabasco sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, brown sugar, and salt. Stir together until combined. Add more water if needed.
  • Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, stirring constantly especially during the last 10 minutes. Expect the mixture to thicken after simmering.
  • Let the sauce cool completely. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!

⅓ cup corn syrup
⅓ cup molasses
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon steak sauce (such as A1®)
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 dash ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Stir ketchup, water, corn syrup, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, steak sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg together in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth; bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat to cool completely.

  • Mixture will be similar in thickness to steak sauce. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. This sauce is a nice change on hamburgers or pastrami, and great dipping sauce for hot wings.
